[Yu is all business as soon as the feed starts, his expression and tone very measured.]
It seems I'm not the only one who was contacted for "sentencing," so I'd like to pool our information. I was contacted by someone named "Jerry" and told to go to City Hall. How many others received a similar order? I know it wasn't everyone, but maybe we can get an accurate count. Were you asked to meet with the same person, or someone different?
If anyone else feels comfortable sharing what their "sentence" was, that could also be useful. Mine was to investigate people I'm close to for evidence of crimes.
[His tone is carefully neutral, but he doesn't seem thrilled about that. Loyalty... he still doesn't see any way to consider it a crime. Now he's being asked to atone for something like that?
... Anyway. What else does he need to add? He thinks about it for a moment, frowning softly, and then adds:]
Last thing. Does anyone who was summoned remember what happened inside the building?

just as planned
Code names and aliases are supposed to be cooler than your real name, though. What's less cool than Jerry?
Re: just as planned
I guess that's true. Maybe he's trying to seem...unassuming? I wouldn't expect anything extraordinary or unusual about a person named Jerry.

But if he's contacting people about something as serious as whatever "sentencing" is, why would he want to seem unassuming? Seems like you'd aim to be a guy nobody wants to mess with, right? The math ain't mathing.

That's a good question. Maybe using such a boring name catches people off-guard if they try to resist? Giving people a false sense of security?

Like "oh, hey, this guy's named Jerry, he'll be a pushover" and then you get absolutely wrecked because you weren't expecting him to be a badass?
... I guess? Still seems weak, logically speaking.
Hey, what kinda crimes does a guy gotta do to meet this "Jerry"? Maybe I'll just ask him. [

That's fair enough. It doesn't have to be a good idea.
[...........quentin no-]
I'm not sure. Someone said that they were charged with "additional crimes" that happened after they got here, but they didn't elaborate on them.

[As if Quentin is some kind of law student over here who cares about human rights.]
Hey, maybe his name is Jerry because he's a soulless tool of the oppressive system. It's got a very DMV vibe.

[Whether he actually cares or not, Quentin has definitely hit the nail on the head.]
Hmm, maybe. I like that guess best, so far.

So wait, did you even get to meet him? Or just get, I dunno, an mail merge email from the guy.

I did. He seemed very ordinary, but I didn't do much to try and resist.

He seem like final boss material to you? Or just, like, dungeon boss?
Ugh, I'll just have to try and meet him.
no subject
Maybe more of a dungeon boss.
[ooooohhhh that doesn't sound ominous at all, Quentin]
That could be easier said than done.
no subject
How hard could it be? Just do a couple of crimes and wait, right? I can do that. I'm a pro at getting into trouble.
Just gotta get my gameplan in order.... Hmm.
no subject
Be careful. There's no telling what could happen if they start to suspect you're making trouble on purpose.
