[ The video, hologram, or whatever you want to call it begins with Mitama standing in front of a building that may look unfamiliar to people who have been in Aldrip for a long time, obviously excited to be addressing everyone. ]

Why, hello there! Some of you may already know me, but for those who don't, my name is Mitama Yakumo and I'm a magical girl!

[ Just like that. Most, if not all girls of her world would never reveal their secret, least of all in such a flippant way, but Mitama is way past pretending she's a normal girl, especially when she's got important business related to her abilities. ]

Now, some of you may be wondering what a magical girl is... Allow me to demonstrate!

[ She presents a small, egg-shaped, blue gem to the camera, and as the object starts to shine, Mitama begins her transformation. You know the type ─ one with pretty choreography and fancy magical lights that conveniently help to keep any potential nudity to PG levels as parts of her costume pop into existence one after another. It might be a little shameless, but the girl is clearly having fun with it, and once she finishes, she's standing in her full magical girl attire. ]

As you can see, I'm the real deal! And today is your lucky day, as I am officially offering my humble services as the Coordinator to all of the Chosen! [ She winks at the camera. ] That's right! The Coordinator's Shop is open for business here in Aldrip!

[ She points to the building behind her, making sure to show the surrounding area too; now people who know Aldrip well will definitely realize it wasn't there until a little while ago. But Mitama doesn't waste time explaining that, and instead focuses on what truly matters: her work. ]

What is a Coordinator, you might ask? Well! My magic allows me to strengthen the abilities and enhance skills of other people~ That's right, I'm talking about you! Ever wished you could be more powerful, but you feel like you've reached the limit of your development? Would you like to tap into your hidden potential, but don't know how to do that? That's where the amazing Miss Coordinator comes in!

[ She twirls on the spot and bows to the camera to indicate the title means her. But before she continues, her expression changes for a moment, showing a bit of disbelief and concern. ]

"Oh, but wise and beautiful Miss Coordinator," I hear you say, "how do I know your powers of adjustment can help enhance my skills?"

[ The girl claps her hands together enthusiastically, not deterred by this potential doubt that some might voice in the slightest. ]

An excellent question, imaginary audience member and potential client! You see, in order to celebrate the opening of the shop, for the whole month of October, I will perform a simple screening session to determine how I can assist you completely for free! And that's not all! For the first week, that is until October 14th, all adjustment services will be offered at half the price! A chance like that might not happen ever again, so you better hurry up!

[ She leans forward, pretending she's hearing something from the charm, before continuing. ]

What's this? You're still hesitant to try it? Well, this won't do! How about this, then? The very first person who visits my shop today will receive a whole single adjustment session, free of charge! I'll see you there~

[it doesn't take him too long to get to her office, and he looks around as he enters. it's even more interesting to see in person instead of on the video chat, and he crosses his arms before calling out:]

Mitama-san!! I'm here!

[ Once he enters the main room, Mitama is already there, humming to herself as she rearranges some of the furniture. Hearing Yosuke's voice, she turns around and greets him with a bright smile. ]

Welcome~ Don't be shy, take a seat!

[ She gestures to the many chair choices, leaving it up to him where he'd like to sit. ]

[he goes to sit down at one of the chairs, and looks around as he stretches his legs.]

This is a lot more impressive in person than over the network. How'd you get it?

It is, isn't it~?

[ The girl makes a twirl, obviously more than happy with her place. At this point, her shop feels more like her home than her actual home does, so she's glad to have it back here in Aldrip. ]

That's the funny part! I was hoping to rent a building from one of the locals, but one day, POOF! My shop from my world just appeared here~

[ Does that make any sense? The answer is probably no, but she's not gonna sweat the details. It's the result that matters! ]

Huh.

[it's kind of curious to him too, but he supposes that if she's not going to question it, he shouldn't either.]

That's kinda convenient. Maybe you wished for it in your dreams or something.

[something like that, maybe.]

[ As if wishes could come true so easily. She assumes, of course, that this miracle of getting her shop back will also come at a price.

Those thoughts don't show on Mitama's face, however, as she pushes a coffee table with some cookies (thankfully these are store-bought and safe for consumption) near where Yosuke is sitting. Instead, the girl lets out a soft chuckle, before moving to pour both of them some tea. ]

Oh my! Could it be you're actually a romantic type, Yosuke-kun?

Oh...

[he takes a cookie, and was about to say no...

but then he pauses, and thinks better of it.]

Well... I guess I can be. [he grins a bit.] Do you like romantic guys, Mitama-san?

[coordinatroll]

[ The girl sits across from Yosuke, and takes a sip from her teacup before she responds to him with a wink. ]

Who doesn't? Nothing more attractive than a man chasing after a dream!

[ Which, if one stops and thinks about it, is a non-answer if there ever was one; Mitama herself has probably never stopped to think about this sort of thing, and there's really no point in pondering that. She does know what girls her age do like and how they're supposed to act, however, so she simply responds with what sounds most accurate for her usual "cheerful and perky Miss Coordinator" persona. ]

[his face heats as he takes a bite of the cookie.]

So I should definitely find a good dream, then... and then someone like Mitama-san might go out with me...!!!

[sometimes he's just not aware that what things he says are Out Loud-]

What kind of dreams do you like, then?? You probably like big, strong, romantic type guys, right??

[ Hearing that comment, Mitama blinks once, then twice... and then she just bursts out laughing. But it's not mean-spirited at all, and she's definitely not laughing at him ─ rather, it's that he's so earnest it caught her off guard once again. Even if what he said was almost painfully stupid, she somehow finds that honesty endearing. ]

Perhaps, if you play your cards right!

[ One could think she'd be annoyed by a potential client taking her time with small talk, but she doesn't mind ─ in fact, this sort of thing is one of the main reason why she enjoys being the Coordinator as much as she does. The business part is important, sure, but it's the casual chit-chat while sharing tea and snacks that makes the whole endeavor worthwhile. ]

Hmm, let me think... [ She taps her finger on her chin, resisting the urge to shake her head at his completely misleading idea of what girls really like. ] I wouldn't say that's quite right? I mean, that sounds nice and all, but that's not what I had in mind. It's more about the determination and persistence in trying to make your dream come true! Whether it's something grand like finding a cure for a sick sibling or preserving an important cultural event before it fades into obscurity... or something seemingly small, like trying to keep a family's bookstore from going out of business or mustering courage to confess to a crush.

[ Mitama makes a pause to take another sip from her teacup and let that brief moment of silence emphasize the intended meaning behind her words. ]

Seeing a person give it their all and pour their heart into pursuing something they believe in... You can't really go more romantic than that, don't you think?

[Yosuke sits with rapt attention... and then he nods the more he hears all of this.]

Okay... I think I'm starting to get it. So you're saying that I should never give up!!

[he's already pretty obnoxious in that way lmao.]

Thanks for the pointers, Mitama-san! [he clears his throat] But anyway, you were talking about the ability stuff before... ?

Indeed! They say persistence is a key ingredient to success, after all~

[ She does get a feeling his definition of "not giving up" might be a bit too much for some people, but that's a problem to face another time. ]

Ah, yes! Like I said, I specialize in strengthening other people's powers, allowing them to achieve their full potential!

[ Mitama nods her head sagely, straightening herself up in her seat. Clearly, she's rather proud of what she's capable of, and she's ready to prove it. ]

To keep it simple, my magic allows me to make other people's abilities level up~ Isn't that amazing?

[he considers it for a few moments.]

How long does it last? Does it ever wear off or anything?

Oh, not at all! The effects are permanent~

[ That's how rewiring your soul works! But she gets a feeling people who aren't magical girls might freak out at the idea, so she'll keep the details of how exactly she achieves this to herself, at least for the time being. ]

Of course, things still take time! It might take a couple of sessions before the results are truly impressive. Kind of like you can't expect to get all buff after only one visit to the gym, right?

[he nods as he thinks some more about it. it's certainly an interesting prospect...]

Any side effects I should know about?

Well... I suppose there's the fact that the procedure itself can be a little uncomfortable, maybe even slightly painful. It varies from one person to another? But it's something to keep in mind.

[ And then there's the fact that she involuntarily sees the memories of a person she's adjusting... but that's an unimportant detail she usually keeps hidden from her clients unless absolutely necessary. It's not like she does it on purpose anyway, and what's a little invasion of privacy in exchange for more power? ]

Buuut that's about it! I'll let you know I've never had any complaints about my work~

[ Her customer service, however, is a whole separate thing... ]

[he's making sure he knows what he's getting into, and a shadow of uncertainty crosses his face as he considers her words.]

I just wanna make sure, 'cuz if I'm going to turn into a zombie or something, I want a heads up.

[ For a brief moment, Mitama looks surprised, before she bursts out laughing. Oh, the very idea is hilarious, especially considering one could argue magical girls are already kind of like zombies. But she's also somewhat impressed by how cautious people are being with her offer ─ not that it's a bad thing, mind you, but she's used to her clients being slightly more, ah, desperate. ]

No, nothing of sorts! I was thinking more among the lines of being pricked with a needle?

Ohhh... well that's fine.

[he laughs a little bit too, because it's contagious.]

So long as it hurts less than when Chie gets mad, we'll be fine.
