001 💥 (VIDEO) ⇁ CHARM

[opheliac]

( so the holographic video begins with a close up of a girl biting her lower lip. the recording is wavering from side to side as if she's trying to do, well, something.)

Just a seeec...

( the girl says with more motion-sickness for the viewer. but she manages to get the mobile device propped up just right so she can be hands free. jinx grins big at her accomplishment while she scoots back in her seat, cross-legged. by the looks of her surroundings, she is somewhere up high, due to there being a lot of sky around her. and given the tiles she is sitting on, it's best bet she is on a roof -- possibly on the Inn's (and using the chimney to keep the device up). although everything seems to be squared away, she stays quiet -- just staring back with a smile so wide it could split her face in two. but then — )

So!

( jinx starts off as she digs in her pockets, then pulls out a pretty blue gemstone in which she carelessly tosses up in the air. )

What's everyone's crime?

( when she catches the gem with grace, jinx pops it straight in her mouth like it's a piece of candy. and as she sloshes it inside behind her lips, the girl looks up in thought -- talking with her mouth full no less. )

I got stuck with murder and illegal trading. So boring.

( rolling her eyes, jinx spits the gem out that's now filled with so much of her saliva (how disgusting), then resumes back to playing a game of catch with it. )

Sheesh, you'd think blowin' up a few buildings and starting a war would count WAY more. Whoever is in charge reeaaallly needs to fix their rating system.

Tag is one of my favorite games. Havin' the people chase and trip over themselves just to catch me is a real riot...!!

( especially when she throws her chompers right behind her to see if they can dodge them or make it out alive. )

I haven't lost a game yet. — But I'm wondering if this place has someone who is more up my speed.

[entreats]

Well, just don't make sure to create some huge chaos right here in town. Do it outside, somewhere in nature or something.

[ .. like that's the main concern here, rather than Jinx potentially getting hurt or worse.. but, hey, if the other doesn't care about those things, then Ange can clearly make this the priority instead. ]

It's going to get real annoying if we're all kicked out of town because of it. I know it's dumb, but we are all stuck here together.

The more the merrier, I say! C'mooon, is gettin' kicked outta town the WORST thing ever?

( probably close to it. )

We got the whole country to explore and figure out. There might just be a way better town out there.

[entreats]

[ There's a tiny, hardly even noticable, pause before Ange speaks up. It's a pause during which Ange is definitely trying to think about whether Jinx is just trolling or whether she genuinely seems to think that being outside town is a good thing.

.. in the end, she isn't really sure. With the impression of the other girl she's gotten so far, it could honestly be either of those options in Ange's eyes. ]

What would you consider a 'better' town?

[ She feels like she wouldn't get a very productive answer if she asked the question she was actually considering, so she shifts to this one instead.

It might give her a better idea of Jinx, for one, while also getting more of an idea about the expectations for this place. ]

That we run around and we do what we want. Rules are made to be broken, y'know. They set 'em up just so we can tear it down.

( wiggling her eyebrows at the other, she grins mischievously with her canine teeth glistening over the night sky on her end. )

And I'm gonna find that town and shape it up the way I wanna make it.

[entreats]

So you want anarchy.

[ Maybe it's a way more blunt way to put what Jinx is saying here, but Ange doesn't think it's dissimilar from what Jinx is preaching.

And, sure, Ange isn't a huge fan of authority either. But she also sure doesn't trust other people enough to let everyone make their own rules, so she isn't too sure whether or not she really likes this plan.

.. on the other hand, if Jinx did start messing with this world, maybe it'd actually draw out whatever kidnapped them here. And now that is something that would actually interest Ange. ]

I guess that isn't so bad, as long as you aren't doing it right here in town. I like at least a little bit of peace and quiet.
