001 💥 (VIDEO) ⇁ CHARM

[opheliac]

( so the holographic video begins with a close up of a girl biting her lower lip. the recording is wavering from side to side as if she's trying to do, well, something.)

Just a seeec...

( the girl says with more motion-sickness for the viewer. but she manages to get the mobile device propped up just right so she can be hands free. jinx grins big at her accomplishment while she scoots back in her seat, cross-legged. by the looks of her surroundings, she is somewhere up high, due to there being a lot of sky around her. and given the tiles she is sitting on, it's best bet she is on a roof -- possibly on the Inn's (and using the chimney to keep the device up). although everything seems to be squared away, she stays quiet -- just staring back with a smile so wide it could split her face in two. but then — )

So!

( jinx starts off as she digs in her pockets, then pulls out a pretty blue gemstone in which she carelessly tosses up in the air. )

What's everyone's crime?

( when she catches the gem with grace, jinx pops it straight in her mouth like it's a piece of candy. and as she sloshes it inside behind her lips, the girl looks up in thought -- talking with her mouth full no less. )

I got stuck with murder and illegal trading. So boring.

( rolling her eyes, jinx spits the gem out that's now filled with so much of her saliva (how disgusting), then resumes back to playing a game of catch with it. )

Sheesh, you'd think blowin' up a few buildings and starting a war would count WAY more. Whoever is in charge reeaaallly needs to fix their rating system.

No way! I did 'em all, but they shoulda put "war criminal" or something to make me cooler. ( she waves a dismissive hand. ) — Murder is just soooooo... what everyone does and it's expected.

( she leans a little forward into the camera so he can get a good look at her. )

Tell me this, which sounds deadlier? A murder or someone who annihilated a city and set it a blaze? By the way, my gem, my rules.

I doubt they care about our appearance. {As would be expected when one is dealing with criminals.} Is it? You must have had a difficult childhood.

To show 'em all, just like I was suppose to and as planned!

( and wherever her father is, she is hoping he is looking down at her with pride in his heart. she accomplished the mission without any mishap for once. and although she had jinxed up so much, that was worth it all. )

To show them what? Your fury? Your pain? {He understands both too well. He is perhaps the last being that will judge her.}

( fury, possibly. but pain? why would she show topside how much pain she's in? not like they give a crap how anyone underneath feels. jinx rolls her eyes at his guesses and says greatly: )

No. That Zaun is nothin' to sneeze at. Bet they'll think twice pushing us around again.

( a beat. )

— Too bad I can't see how it'll all turn out from here.

The effects should be waiting for you when you return. We have an argument - as a community - concerning whether or not our absences are noticed or if time stands still for us.

Time standing still? ( she repeats, looking puzzled. ) — Maybe if the people in charge are Mages, but why us though? From what I've seein', a lotta of you are a bunch of nobodies.

( if they were on the ruling council, this would make more sense if their realm decided to halt due to their importance. but someone like her, vi, that... guy, and caitlyn? why would runeterra freeze due to them? )

Speak for yourself. You are conversing with the Emperor of Heaven. {Runyu is being quite serious, though his words always sound a bit...insane. However, in his world/realm/universe, he is indeed the Emperor.} Why shouldn't time freeze for me?

Emperor of Heaven? Huh, sooooooo.... a God? Thought they were all drunk sailor stories.

( jinx had heard many stories of the wind spirit, janna, who claimed to be the protector of zaun before she was born. but given there was no proof of her existence now, she figured to be made up. they say she would come in a shape of a white bird, but all jinx have ever saw were crows. )

The God of the Night Sky to be exact. {He is proof, surely? She can probably poke him without him being too upset.}

I promise I wasn't manufactured by someone drunk.

( she is silent and for once, actually looking rather serious and really thinking about the situation they are all in. )

That just means whoever is in charge overpowered you. 'Cuz Gods are pretty... well, strong and shit. We gotta be dealin' with one big baddie.

Precisely. {She has caught on quicker than others and maybe that will serve her well. Or make her depressed.} I have not given up hope of breaking their hold on me.

Maybe you just gotta train more. Or... figure out if you got a weakness or somethin'. Toughen that up.

( because in combat, opponents always seek for the other's weak spot. so maybe whoever is in charge discovered his and used it to their advantage. it seems to be the only logical thing. )
