[Not that the camera’s picking up on this, but Scott’s with Kotone and both of them are hovering over his tablet. They’ve been thinking about this for a while, especially after the disappearance of both Claude and Miller, and after discussing with each other about the idea…]
So, uh. Does anyone remember how Claude mentioned about holding a remembrance for all the people that disappeared? I know he’s gone now… but I think it’s a good idea still and we should go through with it.
[Especially since so many of them have ‘returned’ home now. Disappeared. Scott would like to believe that everyone is safely back home. At least it helps that when he vanished from this place, he did go back home and experience a bunch of things. But anyway…]
We’re thinking about holding it at Richard’s Inn. [And he definitely agreed, 100%. Uh-huh.] We’ll probably manage some food and drinks, but it would be helpful if you brought something too. Kotone can’t cook that much.
[Don’t make his girlfriend cook in the kitchen for hours on end okay!!]
If everybody brings a little bit, I think it'll be really fun! [Ah, yeah, unsurprisingly, there's the sound of Kotone's voice, neither confirming nor denying that she could cook that much.] Remembering people who are gone doesn't have to be sad. It would be nice if we could all eat together and share some of our favorite memories.
[Scott almost wants to add something really corny like ‘we can make new memories!’ But he refrains. No, that’s too much!!] And along with that, it might be nice to write down names and brief memories of them. You know. Have it in writing and for others to read. Like a book.
[Kotone hums, the sound of her voice getting a little louder as if she's leaning closer to Scott. Without him having to say he wants to make new memories, it seems she's having the same idea.] It might be nice if we could exchange something, too. You know, 'cause it's not just about the people who are gone, but making sure we can remember everyone who's still here, too. I could get the stuff from the Sewing Club, maybe…
Yeah, just a small something for the other person to hold onto. [He helps, concluding Kotone’s thoughts. Is there that obvious warmth in his voice as he looks at Kotone? Maybe. Yeah gross, don’t worry, they’re about to wrap up.] So yeah, bring food. Or if you have any extra thoughts, let us know.
[ooc: Replies will be given by either Scott or Kotone or both!]

[Maybe they can bring their other friends too. And Kotone. It's always a little hard being separated from her nowadays... that's probably fine.] I'll make sure that you don't expire out in the desert.
[They'll bring food and stuff! ...And maybe get Kurt to teleport them back home if needed.]
no subject
That's probably for the best. I'm not really good with the heat.
[ Decidedly awful, but the mild suffering is worth having the small adventure. ]
Has Kotone gone there before?
[ Because he assumes all messages and statements, generally, aren't going to stay a secret between those two... ]

[She's literally sitting right here... hello. Also yeah don't worry Minato, they reached that codependent stage a while ago. Plus, she was there when Scott killed someone, so like, best believe she's holding his hand as they chat about the desert.]
It was a while ago. Two years? [there's a lilt to her voice, asking Scott for confirmation on the timing.] There was a lot we didn't know back then. The fairies asked us to help out.
no subject
Yeah, a couple of years.
[He confirms with her, but honestly, Scott's fine with Kotone explaining more about this stuff to Minato. Not to mention she's had more dealings with the fairies than him. He's leaving it to her this time! Thanks babe--]

Fairies?
[ No -- actually, now that he's thinking about it, there were fairies that used to inhabit Aldrip, weren't there? The world had shifted not too long after he'd woken up in this place. The new, more modern version of Aldrip was the one he was most familiar with. ]
...I wonder if we'll wake up one day only to find the world changed again.

[Yeah, she doesn't actually add any detail, because like, Minato hadn't asked for any? So she assumes he just gets it, sorry Scott.]
We might. I mean, I like the city, and I don't miss when we had to wash our clothes by hand, but sometimes I miss the old Aldrip, you know?
[Things were weirder then, but also somehow simpler.]
no subject
Mmm, you seriously want to go back to that, Koto? No movies or arcades? [Clearly the important thing here...] But... I think it is possible that things might suddenly change again.
[Maybe to match how people are disappearing more often now. The fact there is less of them.]
no subject
Anyhow -- that's right, they did have to wash their clothes by hand, didn't they? ]
Right before it changed, we all lost our memories, didn't we?
[ What a strange time that was. For a week, Minato almost thought he had a family. ]
...I think I'd want to keep all of mine.
no subject
Until they all woke up again. Outwardly, she just says,] I do, too. Want to keep my memories.
[Considering what they'd both fought for in a life that feels so distant from this one, is that any surprise?]
...I wonder if there's a way to keep what we do at this memorial safe from something like that happening again. So we have something to remind ourselves.
no subject
I want to remember everything too.
[He chimes in as well, voice trying to remain steady. He squeezes her hand back, a reminder that they're at least together right now. With how many people have disappeared, he's lucky.]
Like taking a bunch of pictures at the memorial? That's a good way to help remind ourselves of things that might fade away later.
