[when this video starts, there are two things:

(1), it's been quite some time since jinx made a video on the broadcast. normally, she would either make a text one or audio. but today, it's a video. and in this video, for those who know her, they will notice a drastic change in her appearance. what happened to those long braids, and a different outfit, too? well. at least she's changing things up a bit.

(2), she doesn't seem to be saying anything as the camera rolls. in fact, she looks rather peeved as she sets her phone device somewhere so it can stand on its own. it also seems she is outside... on a nice sunny day, too. with a day like this, what could possibly bring her mood down? anyway, after some fiddling around, jinx moves away from her phone, and turns her back towards the audience. and then......................................................................................................................................................................................................]

I was ordered to by my psycho to brighten everyone's day by doing some dance exercises. Some whacko talk about this is something people do every morning where he's from. — Starting to believe it's bullshit.

[because who in their right mind would ever agree doing this bright and early, and on a daily basis?]

[Well. Some people like to get up and early and broadcast their dancing and singing to the world at large. Elphelt didn't think until now to literally broadcast it. She can reach so many prospective fans this way.]

--What! Someone taking advantage of a delicate maiden?! I have half a mind to introduce them to Miss Charlotte and teach them some manners.

[her upper lip curls upward, and she can feel her shimmer blood boiling hot through her veins. this is exactly what she had feared this video would make her seem. maybe not so much with the veterans, but the newcomers...]

I'm not delicate, you freak...! Call me that again, and I'll pop those air balloons of yours. And it won't be pretty. Got it?

Oh, I see.

[It was hard for Elphelt to comprehend what the problem here could be, outside of someone bullying Jinx into doing something. To think someone so punk would be worried what others think...]

As a performer, I can get wanting to show a specific persona to the world, so I won't tell you not to worry what others think. But look at it this way: anyone thinking this makes you weak is off the mark and you've put them into a false sense of security. Their world will be rocked that much harder when they get a peek at the real you.

Great speech, Toots. Didn't think I asked for it. But here's my little advice: how about tossing that lecture to someone who's actually pathetic, huh?

[and despite her cold demeanor, she isn't hanging up their call. she feels as if she should, and even her voices are telling her so — they hiss warped words that elphelt is someone she shouldn't trust, someone who sees her as a baby chicken.

but maybe it's because of the whispers that she continues to have their call connected. because they're not always right, and having them order her around can be just as irritating as a live person.]

[Elphelt frowns and furrows her brow. All humans are baby chicks to a monster, but that does not mean she looks down on them. The insinuation she would think even one human is pathetic bothers her.]

Miss Jinx. If I treat you or any other human like they're pathetic, then you're free to knock sense into me however you want.

Fine. So can we wrap this up and talk about something else already? ... I've been humiliated enough.

[the last bit she murmurs and tries to busy herself by snatching a pebble from where she's sitting to fling somewhere off screen. 'we all have bad days', jinx remembers her sister saying a long time ago, and maybe she can just... chalk this up as being one of those. who knows? maybe her "curse" will be kind to her, and everyone will forget this in a couple of hours.]

Oh! You want to hear humiliating? One time, I tried to crowdsurf at a performance, but no one caught me. I fell flat on my face! My sister was all "You didn't ask me to catch you" while I was flat on the ground. Who the heck doesn't know what crowdsurfing is?!

[She sounds more humiliated that her family didn't know what crowdsurfing was than she is about plastering herself against the ground.]

[opheliac]

No one caught you? Color me shocked.

[she can absolutely see why no one would. jinx can detect several areas of her counterpart's personality that could label her as annoying. although, elphelt is a looker, so she is a little surprised no guy would fling a chance to be underneath her.]

Guess that explains the scrambled eggs of a brain you have going there.

Nooo, not you too! That's just what my bassist said! Why am I being bullied when it wasn't my fault?

[That is what she is getting for throwing herself at her family, expecting them to know what to do. The only one who would know about crowdsurfing was also the only one who wouldn't catch her even if she asked!]

But I know Miss Jinx would catch me, so it's okay.

Oh, would I? — You're that sure of yourself? Your "BFF" level with me isn't that high, Bazooka. You still got a looooong way to go.
