He wants me to ask if there's such a thing as going “too far” to protect someone you love. What extent would you go to protect others? Would you physically harm them if it meant saving them from harm?

Oh, you can respond with video or call or text or whatever, that's fine! If you want to talk to each other too, that'll probably help, also.

like, what are you protecting them from? what'll they regret more when it's over?
that's the part that's the most important, i think
it's gotta be about what's good for them, not just how you feel about it

You make it sound super easy, but what if you're not sure about what's good for someone...? Like, I always want to protect my friends. They're really important to me and I don't want them to get hurt. But then they get mad at me for taking risks, or I hurt people by accident...

anyway it's not like there's a one size fits all or anything
you kinda just gotta know your friends?
what's important to them and shit
like protecting your friends is great but maybe they want to fight WITH you right? instead of just hanging back and getting protected
it'd annoy the shit out of me if someone asked me to do that

i cant say much about hurting someone by accident, though

Yeah, that's exactly it!
They want to fight beside me, and I want them by my side, too!! But then when things get really, really dangerous, I think... well, it's better if it's just me taking care of it, right? It's okay if I get hurt, but I hate seeing them get hurt.

I train with Scott all the time! I used to train with my team, but most of them aren't here anymore. Do you have somewhere you go to train??

look even if you don't care what happens to you, you don't get to just tell your friends to watch you get hurt on your own because it's better that way or some crap like that
if kurama or hiei or kuwabara ever did shit like that to me i'd kick their asses into next year

i spar with hiei sometimes i guess
and i entered that fighting competition thing last year, the one run by the blind earthquake girl

[Earthbender ..... what's remembering proper terms for things, that's for people who aren't Yusuke. Anyway. He may or may not have gotten disqualified from that one for breaking the arena ahaha...haha. ha.]

but i'm kind of too strong for fights with most regular people nowadays so it gets a little boring

besides, my friends are really strong too
