Hi everyone!

Jerry gave me some homework. Can you help me with it, please? ( •̯́ ^ •̯̀)

He wants me to ask if there's such a thing as going “too far” to protect someone you love. What extent would you go to protect others? Would you physically harm them if it meant saving them from harm?

Oh, you can respond with video or call or text or whatever, that's fine! If you want to talk to each other too, that'll probably help, also.

Thank you! ₊˚⊹♡

I am uncertain what constitutes "too far" after the events of last month. Many of us acted outside of our own control, or did things we normally would not, in the name of protecting others.

[Kurama's expression visibly perks when he sees that she's at the farm. He hasn’t been back since his disappearance into the woods. There even now, as he gets caught up on the network.]

I believe there is no right or wrong answer, but my opinion may be ... biased. Too far is a rather personal metric, is it not?

[He takes a moment, speaking cautiously. Does he feel bad for injuring Hiei? Yes. Is he going to address that openly on someone else's public post? Absolutely not.]

Demons heal a great deal faster than humans, a minor injury in one's effort to prevent more serious damage or avoid certain danger is... not unheard of.

Sometimes, we must content ourselves with knowing that we did the best we could with what we had at the time.

[For a moment, he's not thinking about the incident in Aldrip at all.]

If we are speaking more specifically of this world- and recent events. No, I highly doubt any of that angered him. If anything, he was more annoyed that I was concerned for his well-being to begin with. That will likely ring true of most from my own world, as well. We simply don't operate as humans do.

In many ways they are not.

[A pause, as he considers.]

Truthfully, it may be more accurate to say that those with abilities operate differently from those without them. On my world it is rare for humans to have any sort of power, but here... almost everyone seems to have some sort of ability.

By which I mean to say, everyone's ability to defend themselves or help in a fight is unique to their specific circumstances. In the case where you know someone might not survive a situation it is easier to make certain decisions for them. In the name of protecting them, of course. With most of the Chosen... it seems more prudent to work together as a team.

You would have to truly know the individual and their limits to be informed enough to know when protecting them is in their best interests and not just your own fear for their well being.

[Being selfishly over protective is a thing, after all.]
