I'll try to keep this short- The other guy said a lot about the big monster, but it sounds like there's other monsters now...

[There's a long pause as Fauna tries to organize her words. It's hard to post all this, especially when she's doing it from a hospital bed, but... It's important to get it all out there.]

People are turning into monsters, it sounds like. The "Black Beast" beat me in a fight and took my Seeds- items from my world. So... I'd bet people changing is related to that.

These monsters are called Wishes. They're... Well, they're what they sound like. When someone makes a wish, they're given incredible power and the ability to grant that wish. But someone flooded with power while thinking about their wish just makes people go crazy. They won't stop until that wish is granted, and even then, the wish might just keep growing, and they'll never stop. They're out of control, from their own wish and the power they've been given.

You can't beat them with fighting- None of you have the tools to do that. The only way to stop it is to stop the wishes they made in the first place. Either make them not want it anymore, or grant the wish so they don't need to wish for it anymore, or strengthen their heart so they can resist the temptation of the power and the wish. Those are how you can get it under control, and stop the monsters...

Their powers come from the wish they made, though. So be careful. You can't beat them with fighting, but they sure can beat you.

[There's another pause. Was that everything? She does want to keep it short and to the point. No need to ramble nonstop.]

So... figure out their wish. Help them with it, or help them overcome it. Weaken the wish so it doesn't have a hold over them, and let them come to their senses.

what happens if they wish for something unobtainable? like a better relationship with their mom? or a million dollars?

...? They'd get power for it. I don't know about the relationship... Probably brainwashing? But money's easy. There's all sorts of ways someone might get money. Walking through walls, or duplicating stuff... One guy I fought once wanted money, so he turned into a dynamite monster. Blew up walls and safes and stuff. Robbed a bunch of banks.

[There's a brief pause as Morph mulls that one over.]

Can't say I'm much of a therapist, but I'll just hope no one's wishing about the 'better relationship with their parents' thing. That one I'm really unqualified for.

If it helps, brainwashing's easy enough to handle. Punch the guy who's doing the brainwashing hard enough and the victims usually snap right out of it.

Believe me, if I can get in that close to a psychic, they won't know what hit 'em. The trick is that they don't already know what's happening.

Say, can these seeds be retrieved from the affected people, or are they gone forever? 'Cause if you have any left, we really need to get you a safe for those things.

... The thing is, I only had three. It seems like the Beast that took them is making more. There shouldn't be a way to...

[She shakes her head.]

No, that's not true. Sometimes, I can take the seeds from affected people, and make them into my own power. But not usually.

Anyway, there's not usually a method, and... I don't know how the Beast's going to affect things.

Well it's already big, scary, and mysterious, it doesn't surprise me that it can do something that powerful.

So retrieval won't be an option, got it. Don't worry about us, Fauna. We can handle this.

Yeah...

It's weird. None of this is working how it should. But... Stay safe, okay?

I'll be careful. You concentrate on getting better.

I'm gonna go crazy from boredom before I get better in here.

That's what happens when you get hurt! Consider it incentive to be more careful next time.

I already know what I did wrong. I fought eight heads as if they were eight different guys, without accounting for a shared field of vision and coordination. If it had been eight guys, I could have handled it. And now that I know, I won't make the same mistake again.

Hey, that's a really good analysis. If you want more practice against that kind of beastie, I could try putting together a hydra in the Danger Room. I don't want to make it exactly like the Black Beast, but it'll make for a good training scenario.

... I think I'd like that.

[huh. good analysis? She's not used to that kind of praise, still, but... she's getting there. It's happening more often now, after all.]
