OKCINDR POST #5

Ever wanted to have CR with a character and wasn't sure how to get them to cross paths? Wanted a dating app so you can hook up with hot people? Wanted to just find friends because you're a lonely bastard?

With the update of the tablets and the apps, we now have a dating / friendship app called OKCINDR! Players can use it as they please for the two months that it's up -- just imagine that they're profiles to swipe right on and everything. The idea is to encourage CR that may be difficult to get with characters who may or may not be interested in events / posts / logs / other network posts.

So, on January 2nd, characters randomly look back at their tablets to see the following:

OKCINDR PROFILE RESET #4
PLEASE RESET PROFILE

This month, if players reset their profile, they will have a list of questions to answer:

- What is the maximum amount of sheep you have counted when trying to fall asleep?
- Is it harder to forgive yourself, or to forgive others?
- How strongly do you feel that the past defines a person?
- What is your dream?
- Why would an android's dream contain electric sheep? Are they particularly drawn to livestock animals?
- If you could return to one specific moment in your life, would you?
- How do you wake up from a dream?
- Please
- Wake up
- You must wake up

Players, of course, are able to ignore this message. However, if a character wouldn't fill it out but a player would like to participate... the profile mysteriously resets itself. There may even be responses sent from Character A to Character B without Character A actually doing anything, if you'd like! This is a completely opt-in scenario! But for players who would like to participate fill out the post:

network profile
Character_Name
@username
ABOUT_ME

If you'd like to for shits and giggles, here's some notifications that may be used:

Name (@username) followed you

Name (@username) unfollowed you

Name (@username) blocked you

Have fun! Code credit.

Fascinating. What did you travel in? Spaceships? How are they equipped for intergalactic travel?

[ normal people would say "oh, that sounds like a difficult time, how terrible" — unfortunately for all, viktor is not exactly very normal at the best of times. ]

Cherry does sound worth a try. So does chocolate. I will pass on the sprinkles, however, that sounds needlessly messy.

We were in a spaceship that used an AI to set coordinates. Unfortunately I didn't really have time to find out more, though it was definitely more advanced than the spaceships developed on Earth. So far we've only managed to travel to the edge of our own galaxy, and even that takes a while.

[Of course, Clark knows for a fact there are other galaxies with alien life out there, given that he's from one of them.]

Cherry pie is definitely worth trying, especially when cherries are in season!

I guess the sprinkles can get messy, but...I dunno. Even if they aren't exactly healthy, I still like them, especially the multicolored ones.

More advanced than anything where I come from, certainly. Is it all achieved through engineering and technology?

I will keep that in mind. The sprinkles, too, I suppose. Though I must ask - does the colour actually do anything? I thought it was simply for... aesthetic.

Pretty much. STAR Labs is a leading research group for space travel and anything space-related in general, and they're located in the city where I live back home. They held a symposium a while back to show what they've been working on, and a friend of mine was invited to be a keynote speaker, so he brought me along.

[Too bad it didn't end well, since neither he nor Jimmy knew the keynote was actually a debate over whether or not Superman was a threat to Earth.]

I don't think the color does much aside from aesthetic, really. But there's nothing wrong with having a little color in your life, right?

And what was it that they had been working on?

[ sorry he's just going to continue to ask questions — ]

Hm, perhaps. Colour is a privilege not everyone has.

Shields against debris, more advanced ships, an anti-gravity machine...things like that.

[Clark doesn't mind all the questions, just so long as they aren't too personal. Even though he can be more open about who and what he is here, it still feels awkward when people ask him specific questions about himself.]

I guess not. But that's why I try to bring color to others when I can.

[Helping people while wearing his loudly blue and red Superman outfit probably counts in that regard, right?]

An anti-gravity machine? Interesting. I don't suppose you remember more of it all?

And that is very selfless of you.

It was just a smaller version of what they use to simulate zero gravity, but Jimmy and I got to try it out. It was pretty fun!

[Even though Clark is capable of flying on his own, it was nice for him and Jimmy to float around together for a little while.

And he's not sure if Viktor is being sarcastic or not with that last remark, but he'll just roll with it anyway.
]

Well, I just do what I can to help people out.

Yes, I know the feeling.

[ it's about 60-40 in favour of sarcasm, yes, ]

And how do you do that, exactly?
