OKCINDR POST #5
Ever wanted to have CR with a character and wasn't sure how to get them to cross paths? Wanted a dating app so you can hook up with hot people? Wanted to just find friends because you're a lonely bastard?
With the update of the tablets and the apps, we now have a dating / friendship app called OKCINDR! Players can use it as they please for the two months that it's up -- just imagine that they're profiles to swipe right on and everything. The idea is to encourage CR that may be difficult to get with characters who may or may not be interested in events / posts / logs / other network posts.
So, on January 2nd, characters randomly look back at their tablets to see the following:
This month, if players reset their profile, they will have a list of questions to answer:
Players, of course, are able to ignore this message. However, if a character wouldn't fill it out but a player would like to participate... the profile mysteriously resets itself. There may even be responses sent from Character A to Character B without Character A actually doing anything, if you'd like! This is a completely opt-in scenario! But for players who would like to participate fill out the post:
If you'd like to for shits and giggles, here's some notifications that may be used:

Name (@username) followed you

Name (@username) unfollowed you

Name (@username) blocked you
Have fun! Code credit.

OKCINDR PROFILE RESET #4
PLEASE RESET PROFILE
This month, if players reset their profile, they will have a list of questions to answer:
- What is the maximum amount of sheep you have counted when trying to fall asleep?
- Is it harder to forgive yourself, or to forgive others?
- How strongly do you feel that the past defines a person?
- What is your dream?
- Why would an android's dream contain electric sheep? Are they particularly drawn to livestock animals?
- If you could return to one specific moment in your life, would you?
- How do you wake up from a dream?
- Please
- Wake up
- You must wake up

☆ A clone of Elisabet Sobeck; created by psychopathic immortal billionaires, raised in complete isolation to train as a tool for controlling a genetic-locked terraforming system.
Genius, tech-dependent, and terrified of people.
Looks like she could a hug, and some friends?
un: unitA2
why would they do that?
no subject
Because only Elisabet's genetic code can be used to access the system she designed, but she passed a thousand years ago. They needed her, so they made me.

but a human isn't a tool. they're... not like androids.
that's...
[The wrongness of this unnerves her. She remembers now — the white Library the machines had created to torment her and 9S, and the information therein. Experiments on people to stop a disease. But that wasn't this. That had been out of desperation, or so she'd assumed from context.
She doesn't know what to say about this.]
that's not what we were told.
about humanity.

But eventually, after a long while:]
I see.
...
[She thinks of YoRHa. Of herself. So convinced of their superiority over the machines, jealously guarding the scraps of information from their creators. But the machines had been the ones to make families, even doomed as they were.
And now what? So many androids had died purposeless. Alone. Left to scrap and rust. These humans make her think of this, and she wonders if it's sacrilege.]
you've been disconnected from their network.
there was a machine... a machine I knew. he was a tool too. like you.
like me.
but he broke away from the machine network. he built a village. he took care of other machines. he... read human philosophy.
now that I'm here, I realize... how hard that must have been.
[She's trying to commiserate. To understand.]

I ran away.
It was the most terrifying thing I've ever done, but it was worth it.
I hope he was happy too.
no subject
... I don't know if he was happy. not easy to be happy for long where I'm from. but he did a lot of good. so I think he must have been.
what are you gonna do now that you're not with them?

Finally:]
it's the same with me.
i'm used to combat. and running.
hiding
being out in the open is strange.

I was assigned on a mission with my squad. lost everyone. I survived because of them.
I wasn't supposed to.
YoRHa came for me. at first I tried to explain to the others what happened. no one listened. no one believed me. I was a deserter. a traitor. so I fought them.
been fighting since then.

Have you been adjusting to this place alright? If you don't mind a stranger asking.
Re: un: altius

[It's best to start from the basics. He learned to be independent early, but he thinks he can understand a little of those feelings. He was on a strict schedule for a long time until he came here, even if he'd partly defined it for himself.]
no subject
[ otherwise, she was used to being in one room, quietly toiling away. the only thing new was the lack of supervision, and the ability to lay on her bed and read the ebooks on the tablet for hours with no one to stop her. ]
no subject
[Even if he didn't have his magic, Altius would have figured something out for himself, but even in his true feelings, he's grateful that he didn't have to brute force the issue.]
What is the first thing that comes to mind that you've had trouble with, then?
no subject
Talking to them is confusing. Keeping up with facial expressions, and tone, and if they're telling the truth.
[ she'd been gullible when Tilda had inserted herself into her life. that someone would lie or manipulate her hadn't even been a thought. ]
no subject
Have you been to the library yet? [He's going somewhere related with this question, he promises.]
no subject
no subject
I could take you there, if you like. We don't have to do much talking, either, if that would help.
no subject
I'd like that.
no subject
[He's always looking to do more research on this or that, anyway, so it's not even like he'd be taking time away from his own endeavors.]
You can call me Altius, by the way. Your name is Beta?
no subject
[ there, that was a normal conversation piece! good job, Beta. ]
