It appears I have been sentenced for destroying a person's door. Which, in my defense, was entirely deserved due to their appalling lack of manners and generousity.

And as such I have been tasked with . . . bonds. Specifically the strengthening of them, physically, or creating new bonds.

What does this entail? I require clarification. I wish to get this over with.

Well, he's not really my older brother, but he was my tutor's student before me, so, that kind of makes him my older brother.

Anyway, his name is Dino, and he's pretty cool. Most of the time. He gets really clumsy when his men aren't around.

How do you "get" clumsy?

Either you are or you are not.

Well, I guess that means he's normally clumsy. But when his men are around, he's able to be a bit more aware I guess? To protect them.

I suppose it comes to some relief that he possesses some awareness.

Still he should hold onto it for his own sake as well.

Yeah, probably. But he does his best.

He's been a really good support for me.

I imagine he says something similar about you as well.

I would hope so.

[Dino is probably one of the few things he likes about his Mafia life.]

I know he sees me as a little brother.

Nope, it's just by having the same tutor.

[There might be something in a family tree somewhere that makes them distant cousins, but Tsuna hasn't really looked into that.]

Is it so simple to consider another family?

I think so.

I mean, I don't have any brothers or sisters, but being with him kinda gives me the idea of what having an older brother's like.

I had many brothers and sisters. As such, I find it uncomfortable to stretch my feelings to other people with that label.

[ nel had a similar issue. after all, all their siblings were murdering each other with glee. ]

Family can have a pretty broad meaning, when you think of it.

Family is about obligation. Duty. It is not simply someone you like.

I guess...but it doesn't just have to be about obligation.

I don't think you need to over-complicate it.

Family is complicated though. I suppose it is a nice label, but without the flaws, it feels shallow.

Well, I never thought of it without flaws. There are a lot of people in my Family that I struggle with.

But in the end, I know that if I need them, they'll be there.
