Hello everyone, my name is Ryoji Mochizuki.

Some of you must have been left bewildered or affected by the past week. I am here to apologize, because I am the one responsible for what has happened. A man named Bonedrewd did something, and as a result I ended up losing control of my powers. Please, be careful around him — he is a dangerous man. I only wish I realized it sooner.

I really am sorry!

The result is the long night known to those from my world as the ‘Dark Hour’. You might have encountered someone who looks like you during that time. They manifested from a repressed side to ourselves. They are parts that we are ashamed of showing to others, or secrets we don’t want to tell. Please do not be harsh to them — do not be harsh to yourself — as it is only natural for all humans to have such a facet to their personalities.

If anyone has questions, I will do my best to answer them.

Uh. Where does "I thought I was human at first but turns out all I had was false memories and I just discovered I wasn't human after all!" fall into?

[Ryoji himself doesn't have any qualms about hiding who he is, especially after being responsible for motions at last week.]

Sounds like Urameshi. Except he doesn't have enough brains to have false memories.

Yusuke is not bothered by much. The slow heartbeat was of more concern to him than anything else.

Sorry, I'm new at this not-human thing, so I'm not sure what else to expect.

It depends on what kind of not-human you are.

Hell if I know, that is more spirit world than demon world for my taste.

So in your world there's a difference? That's interesting.

All of us are classified under the same umbrella in my world, whether we be demons or spirits or even gods.

There is spirit world and demon world, where I am from.

Whether we are actually different from one another is an entirely different question.

There isn't much, from my experience. We are all concepts and symbols that humans believe, through prayer or superstition, and that is what gives us forms. What might be a creature of good to one can be viewed as a creature of evil to another.

That is among the most ridiculous things I've ever heard. Humans believe so that gives us form?

It's more of a chicken or the egg situation, to be fair - do we exist because of humans' fears and beliefs, or do we exist because we made humans know that we do?

One thing is for sure, at least in my world: the more widespread the belief, the more powerful the demon becomes.

Humans may be a type of grey demon. As weak and brainless as they are.

That is where our worlds differ. Some demons are far more powerful than others, and humans don’t know their names.
