For those of you who don't know me yet - I'm Aether, a simple traveler who doesn't travel that much at the moment. To remedy this, I was wondering if anyone would be willing to share stories with me!

Tell me about your travels! Is there a place you miss? A place you really enjoyed visiting? Or maybe a place that you wanted to go to, but never got a chance?

In exchange, I offer an ear to listen.

Well, I mean, everyone's got their own things to do, you know? That's what I mean!

That's true, but...

[It felt like Vash wanted to say that his friends were happier when he was not around. Aether would argue but there's still much he doesn't know about the other. He won't pry...

[ that's right aether, just don't ask questions! ]

If you travelled as much as you say, you must know a lot of people, right?

Yeah. I have friends in every nation I travelled to.

[skelters]

That's amazing! Do you get to see them often?

[startraveler]

It depends... Sometimes I don't see them for a year or more. I try to visit for festivals and other celebrations so there's a chance I will see them again. There are also times when my friends travel and I accidentally bump into them.

Oh and I get letters from everyone at least once a year, when their birthday comes around. Birthdays are a nice time to catch up.

[ what aether is saying rings a familiar note; vash used to try, too, to circle back on his wanderings to the towns and villages he's been to; to see familiar faces, for one. to congratulate on new births and commemorate the deaths, soaking up the warmth of human affection, whatever falls his way with these brief moments of interaction. it used to make him happy to see familiar faces, knowing that he's made some difference in their lives.

well, it's been a long time now since he could face them like that. ]

That sounds really fun! Especially letters - I don't think I've ever done that with someone, but I'd think mail delivery people would have to work very hard where I'm from ...

[startraveler]

[It definitely is a nice thing, to be remembered as someone who helped out, a kind passing traveller that is always away on a new adventure. There are times when Aether wonders if this journey will ever end.]

And why's that?

Oh, sorry! Didn't I mention it?

[ he probably didn't ]

The place I come from, it's mostly desertland! Full of sand, so it takes a while to get around!

[ besides the worms, and the quicksands, and the sand oceans, and the storms, and the outlaw gangs ... you get the idea. he doesn't need to talk about it! ]

Yeah, that's the first I heard about it.

A desertland... I can imagine. I was travelling through a desert for quite some time.

[skelters]

So your world has one too? Is that pretty common?

[ but the only difference is that noman's land has nothing else, if ever.... ]

[startraveler]

Tevyat has a pretty big desert, but there's also a rainforest there, a snow-covered mountain, meadows with many flowers and with gentle wind and there are also islands with endless thunderstorms... among many others.

Each nation is different, with its own unique places to visit.

[skelters]

Wow ... and people live in all those places? [ humans sure are amazing. ]

I'd love to see them all, though the thunderstorms sound a bit scary, hahaha ...

[startraveler]

They do! Or used to live there in the past. In Teyvat, there's a mountain so cold that other than monsters nobody lives there, but people come there to explore the place anyway.

I wish I could take you on a trip through Teyvat.

[Sadly, that's really very possible.]
