Salutations to all The Chosen of Aldrip,

My name is Richard Plantagenet, the Duke of Gloucester of England and the son of Duke of York. My time in this world may be merely a blink of an eye compared to some of you who have been residing here for over a full calendar year, experiencing the change of all four seasons under the sky. However, during my brief stay I have come to notice that there are plenty of wrongs in this world, which threatens the peace of our lives here. Now, some of these wrongs might be out of our control, such as the afflictions plaguing our environment. Or the activities of the council. However, this does not mean that we are completely powerless.

It has come to my attention that thee has been a several times when we have been faced with a violent threat and an attack, be it from monstrous creature from the depths of the ocean or a curse spreading among ourselves. I fully believe that we, as a community, could benefit from organizing ourselves so that we might be prepared when the next crisis arrives to our doorsteps.

I call forward anyone with any combat training, be it from military training, self-taught or magically oriented, and share their knowledge to those who might lack skills in self-defense. It is not in my intention to position myself as a leader, nor a raise an army, but to strengthen our teamwork and cooperation as a community. I am myself experienced knight who fought and served my king in a civil war known as War of Roses, and currently I'm learning the usage of firearms under the tutelage of Mr. Valentine. I am willing to train and pass down my knowledge to anyone who is willing to learn. However, I am aware that I am out of my depths and that many of you possesses abilities both as fighters and as tacticians that I could not even fathom. Which is why I sincerely hope those individuals to answer my call and step forward and help create a safer city.

I'm not opposed to the idea buuuut you're kinda leaving out stuff like rescue training and first aid. that's more useful for natural disasters. and leadership is gonna matter a LOT for keeping people organized y'know?

You raise a good point, yes. I, unfortunately, have a very little experience on both areas but if someone who is capable and willing to train us I would be open to add them to curriculum.

As for leadership. I do not wish impose myself as a leader of The Chosen as none of you have a reason to trust me.

Unlike you, I am not trying to gather a personal army against an enemy that might or might not be there. I am not enlisting people under my cause, but offering to teach people how to defend themselves and help others. I have nothing to do with your band of thieves.

im not TRYING to fight the council, moron. how in the hell am i or ANYONE is supposed to do that when we dont know where the heck they are or KNOW who they are besides voices?

the whole POINT i was trying to make is for everyone to band together and care, and support each other after whatever happens to us, happens. and i hope, in time, with numbers, we can come up with something together on what to do about the council. but right now? we can't sooooooooooooooo supporting each other it is.

I'm not too up on my European history but that's pretty cool!! name's Morph, superhero with the X-Men, nice to meetcha.

wellll I've been trained for rescue scenarios... I know how to punch people, too, but I don't think that's quite as essential. if you really can't find anyone else who'd be a better teacher I could probably swing it.

and if you want my opinion, a little trust and charisma is nice, but what you really need is someone who can do the logistics. my team leader at home is the kind of guy who spends his time planning out scenarios as a hobby. THAT'S what you really need for a disaster response.

There are other methods to stop and contain an aggressive attack. The goal here is to learn how to prevent and minimize the deaths among our ranks.

Well, in that case it truly is a shame that the noble message of your cause was drowned out by the rally cries and declarations of war.
But if you truly have the best interest of The Chosen at your heart I am not against of joining our hands and working together.

I shall keep you in my mind, then. But I assure you, any contribution to help others is better than none. Your input will be valuable for all of us.

I do agree with the statement. Charisma can take one long way, yes, but the mark of the true leader is also ability to understand those under his care and leadership, while also being able to fathom the big picture, utilize and bring out the best out of people's skills while also taking into consideration every possible scenario. Such abilities were essential during the long days of fighting against enemy with increasing numbers of soldiers.
