[The video opens to a teenager with a half buzz cut, half shoulder length blonde hair, and a mischievous look on her face. The room is dark, but even in the darkness, the shimmer of dozens of balloons of all colors can be seen behind her. When she starts talking, it's a whisper.]

So today's Peter's 17th birthday, so we're going to surprise him.

[She spins the camera, and zooms in on the sleeping Peter. He's flopped haphazardly on the bottom bunk of a bunkbed, limbs in all different directions, and yep, he's absolutely snoring right now. Gwen's giggles can be heard even before she turns the camera back on herself, but then she places the tablet down in a spot that can catch a full view of him and the room, then approaches the bed quietly. She's got a small device in her hand, and as she sits on the edge of the bed, she pushes the button. Suddenly, half a dozen confetti cannons explode, littering the entire room with the colorful plastic.]

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, PETER!!!

(To be awaken so gently... A number of things happen, all very quick - one is that he jumps out of the bed, but webs to the ceiling, where he sticks to, his Iron Spider Suit embracing his figure before he notices all the confetti-- and he drops from the ceiling with goggled eyes on a sleepy face, before a waterfall of laughter leave him, the suit retracting to leave him in his pajamas.)

Very good, I've definitely been got-- oh, you're filming?! Uh, I guess-- Should we invite people to come watch movies here? Or, well, somewhere... Else, because like, we can't host more than 2, so I guess-- Ah, we'll figure it out.

[Gwen's laughter fills the room the second Peter's awake, especially when the spider-suit appears. It was perfect. She's still laughing as she moves to grab her tablet, spinning the camera to face her again.]

We'll be having a bad movie marathon at the club building today, so everyone feel free to join us! We'll have some soda and popcorn, but if you want any other snacks, you're on your own. Thanks for watching! And make sure you send Peter the most obnoxious birthday wishes today!

I'm kidding. It's no biggie if you can't. I'm gonna grab as much as I can for everyone.

[She'll figure out the logistics later.]

You would think. I've seen just about every inch of the city by now, but it's mostly been a birds-eye-view. I'm not sure what every shop and corner store has.

Nah, I'll grab some stuff before I come over. [Cut her some slack and everything.] Just make sure you have your movie selection lined up. I just want to collapse on the couch and listen to bad dialogue.

[Mindless dumb fun sounds great. He doesn't want to think for a while.]

Come on Gwen, you can't get a full picture of the city just by swinging above it all the time. [As cool as that is.]

No, you shouldn't have.

[but he really lets her have it with that one. wow!!]

In my defense, I didn't actually think he would fully suit up on camera. But yeah, we've both pretty much accepted it at this point.

[And Matt was gone. Well, both Matts, actually. That was part of her hold up in the beginning, since he was from her world. But then she found out her already knew her secret identity, and then more and more people started learning it anyway, so it really didn't matter anymore.]

You did suddenly wake him up with dozens of confetti bombs.

[Just sayin', Gwen! Not that he opposes, far from it. Scott 100% approves of scaring Peter half to death for his birthday.] Well, how does it feel? Not needing to keep it a secret?

[Freeing? Hopefully. Scott knows that he's 'Cyclops' at some point in the future, but any thought of that being a secret identity is laughable now. There's no way he'd be able to keep his powers or anything hidden. The X-Men don't seem like they're trying hard about it either.]

Yeah, and I was going for sticking to the ceiling or just being startled! Which--- totally worked, for the record.

[She's also just saying!! And was also proof that spider senses can be tricked. She wasn't a danger or malicious, which made it easier to get one over on him.]

Honestly? It's....really freeing? I know, that's probably so cliche, but. Back home, it's like... everyone only gets to see half of me? I can never be fully, one hundred-percent myself. I'm either Gwen Stacy, or Spider-Woman. But here? I can be both, at the same time, and.. it's okay.

[Scott can't say he fully relates to what Gwen is saying, but he's nonetheless happy for her.]

Yeah, just not needing to keep all that a big secret must be one huge weight off. Sounds annoying to deal with after a while, honestly. [Even if it makes sense why she'd have to hide, it sounds like a pain.]

Now you can flip someone off as Gwen Stacy while webbing their hand to a building.

It was. For the last two years, no one back home could really know all of me. They only got to see the side I could be at the time, and that was it. [Keeping up appearances, trying to make it to school and do homework, but also patrol, keep up a strong presence in the city, but also make it to band practice and -- yeah. Annoying was one word for it, but exhausting was probably better.]

I don't know about that-- [Still, it's impossible not to laugh at the mental image of it.]
