my thoughts exactly. this place has been following a certain routine for almost a year now. and like a moon cycle we have been visited by Jerry despite the state of our surroundings.

Yes, exactly. It makes me wonder what happened. Is the cycle going to change? There's usually new people arriving later in the month, too. Does this mean there won't be anyone new coming in this month?

[She's asking rhetorical questions she doesn't really expect him to have an answer for, it's just all things that have been on her mind.]

those are good questions, indeed. if we truly do end you getting a new round of arrivals later this month I would be the most worried. it might be very well that this cycle is about to reach its end.

did you happen to go with the newest desert expedition?

I've thought that too. And if it is ending, what does that mean for us?

[She remembers seeing the desert the first time they visited it. How it looked like people just disappeared, without any sort of warning. The plates left out with unfinished meals was especially unnerving. Did they leave in a hurry, or were they wiped from existence?]

I did, but it didn't turn up anything. We were never able to locate the city we visited before.

right now all prior evidence points in either our erasure from the system or becoming part of it. you saw the message from the fairy after the tower, correct?

you weren't? if you do not mind could i have a report of the events that occurred during the expedition. so far i have not seen nor heard anyone speaking of it.

Actually, I didn't. I didn't participate in the tower.

[This is the first she's heard of a message from a fairy?? Vi didn't mention it, but Vi and Silco killed each other. Maybe she didn't see it?]

Of course, though there isn't much to report. We followed the maps the best we could out into the desert, but the sand storms were terrible. We did manage to find an Oasis to rest. I'm not sure if it was just a trick of the desert, or one of the usual tricks of this place, but we all saw mirages while there. Some of home, but some of the city we were looking for, and the ghosts that inhabited it. I hoped this meant we were close, but we never could locate it. We also got a message on our tablets that said "FIND ME", but again, nothing turned up. I honestly wondered if we did find it, it was just buried in the sand now.
