[Hey gang, it's Junpei, filming in vertical because he's a terrible millennial. He's at the inn, sitting at a table with a stupid-looking projector which he drums his fingers on occasionally.]

Uh, hey, soooo... that shit all sucked, huh? Yeah. Really did not expect "kill everyone now because I, the mysterious mastermind, said so" would happen a third time.

[To him, personally. He's too new to know if that happened a bunch of times previously here in Aldrip, so that's a Junpei Original as far as he knows. He's including Gnos infection as A Mastermind, it makes sense to him.]

Anyway, whatever, right? Look, I borrowed— this thing, [shakycams down to the projector, whoaoaoao] and it's kind of my birthday this week, so y'know, calling all people who said they wanted to watch some shitty movies...? And good movies, too, I guess.

[A beat.]

I mean, I just thought that movie night thing could be... fun. After the bullshit. If anybody wants to come watch some stuff, in a park or something? Like a drive-in! Get a bunch of snacks and hang out.

...Also, I need someone to help me hang up a sheet.

[He will be watching movies in the park by himself if he must!!]

[Well, that's a relief. Junpei clearly didn't want to actually talk about that, judging by the original broadcast. Kurama's momentary panic calmed, he's content enough to move on to the more pressing matter of that distraction, at least.]

I suppose it would make sense to find those brought here come from a variety of backgrounds. That aside, if you need someone to hang a sheet in the park for you, I could certainly offer my assistance.

[Calling it a variety of backgrounds is so... Junpei makes a face for a brief second, as if that is really putting it mildly but also he suuuper isn't willing to talk about it, because: yeah! Both of those things. Subject change accepted.]

You may be surprised what one might accomplish with some vines. I appreciate the invitation. Perhaps I will then, what sort of movies did you have in mind?

As for movies, I like action stuff, but I've been hearing a lot about movies that suck, actually? And I heard about one really cool one with Godzilla, but I don't know if that one's going to be here just because I want to see it.

[His eyes narrow thoughtfully at that, why would people be talking about movies that suck? Before he has a chance to ask about it, Junpei mentions Godzilla and Kurama was a teenager from the 90s.]

Ah, yes- Godzilla movies are actually quite popular where I am from. While I'm not familiar with the availability here, I am certain that there must be something close to similar, if nothing else.

Yeah, I'll be satisfied with any big lizard fighting another big monster. The one I heard about had a Godzilla from space, or something like that...? I never saw them all. They're pretty old, for me.

[But still, can't go wrong with big lizard fights.]

SpaceGodzilla?

[That is most definitely an over reaction, but that was oddly specific. Considering the timing of that exact title's release was uh- notable for him. It wasn't as if they were in a position to go to the theater at that point.]

The first was released a few years ago, actually. At least in my world.

Yeah, that's the one! Did you see it? I'm from 2029, so I haven't seen too many of those old movies.

I have. I arranged a similar viewing for some friends at the time, as it was the only way for all of us to see it together. There's a series now, however, I have not seen all of them.

I don't suppose you are also from Japan, in 2029?

[Different worlds are easy enough to understand, the idea of potentially meeting someone from a hypothetical future timeframe of what might be the same world was a weirder concept to swallow outright. Still, Kurama hasn't gotten this far without learning to accept the allegedly impossible.]

Oh, nice. We used to do that back in university, but it was more like a bunch of guys crowded around one laptop...

[Ah, youth. Anyway,] And no—I mean, I was born in Japan, but I've been in the States for a while. In 2029 I was in the Nevada desert.

Somehow, I was not expecting interdimensional travel to result in shared locations.

[How short-sighted of him. While not entirely sure how old Junpei is, Kurama also doesn't actually know if he's human, but it does sound like he's speaking of Human World.]

Stranger still that it seems you would not yet have been born for at least a decade, if I'm not mistaken. Watching a movie on a laptop sounds incredibly inconvenient at best when you can simply use a television in most cases. Although I admit to having skipped college, and can't speak to that experience myself, I'm sure the advances in technology between our time periods are notable.

You'd be surprised.

Anyway, we were in a dorm without our own TV... Of course a TV is easier, if you've got one lying around. I've watched TV before. But dorm rooms are pretty small already, so... no TV.

I had not meant to imply you've never watched television.

[Weird leap to make, but by now he should really be used to people interpreting his words bizarrely.]

Simply that perhaps your computers are more capable than those of my time. Although, the advancements of technology do vary greatly depending on where one might be from.

Oh yeah, that's true. We have pocket computers now. But college is a weird biodome where only one guy has a microwave and the rest of us sneak in to use it while he's in the shower.

[.....so yeah!] TVs were a rare commodity, that's all.
