[The video opens with a slight blur, slowly coming into focus as Tsuna is trying to make sure the angle's okay. It takes a minute or two but eventually he's satisfied.

Of course, in getting that set up, he's briefly forgotten how he was going to start this off so there's a few extra breaths as he gets his thoughts in order. He looks nervous but eventually, a level of confidence starts to show through. Tsuna isn't the kind of leader that charges forward, but when takes on the responsibility, he takes it seriously.]

So, uh...here's the thing. I want to go back to the desert.

We went there a while ago, around when I first arrived here, and I've always sort of had questions about it? So I think it might be worth another look.

I'd like to have a team to do that though. I remember there being monsters and things like that last time, so I don't want to go alone. So if you're interested, please let me know. I'm hoping to go soon.

I don't think so, but it's kind of urgent for me.

[ Okay, suddenly this got way more interesting to her. Not that Ange wasn't interested already, but this talk is elevating it for sure. ]

Did they tell you why it's part of your sentencing? Why would they want you to go out to the desert? They must have a reason for something that specific.

No. I was the one who chose to go out into the desert.

They said I had to lead a event or a group or a business. To better everyone.

This was something I'd been thinking about, so. Yeah.

[ .. well, that's a little less suspicious on the part of the people in charge.

Though it is still a little surprising. ]

Seriously? Of all things, they chose that kind of sentencing for you?

[ There's a light pause, like she's considering it, and then-- ]

Their ideas about sentencing are so weird. Every single time I hear someone talk about it, they always got such a weird task.

I guess so. I mean...it does sort of fit my crime.

[Though that is a little complicated. His crime is a crime, but there's more to it than that.]

Or the crime I've been charged with. I guess is a better way to put that.

What is your crime?

Being too much of a doormat? [ Sorry, Tsuna.

Ange doesn't even necessarily mean it in an insulting way, it just.. seems like the logical crime that would fit that punishment, and she's just a little too blunt about it as ever.. ]

[Tsuna laughs wryly. There's definitely a time and a world where that is very true. Instead he shakes his head.]

It's getting involved with organized crime.

[There's a bit of resignation to the way he says this. He didn't exactly pick this life.]

There's such a noticeable pause on Ange's end. ]

You were involved with organized crime? [ She almost sounds like she can't believe it. The only thing that's keeping her from fully dismissing this is the fact that she doesn't think he's the type that's likely to play a prank like that.. ] You, of all people?

[ Sorry, Tsuna, but you're.. kind of a doormat in her eyes.. Definitely not the yakuza type. ]

[Yeah, he gets that reaction a lot. He knows he comes off more as a hamster than a lion.]

But I didn't know a bunch of this until recently.

You can't seriously tell me that they're having you run an entire mafia family.

[ Not that Ange knows that much about how it works, but.. on the other hand, her family on the mother's side is like that, so she has at least some exposure, even if she's never been part of it herself. ]

[She's not wrong and had this conversation happened maybe a year or two ago, he would have agreed with her.]

[ At least Ange does know that's sometimes just how it happens. If certain people die at the wrong moment, or some other people sneak off - then someone who was never intended to be heir can suddenly become the boss. She's seen it happen.

But it's one thing to know that in theory, and it's another thing entirely to imagine Tsuna in that role. He's not even really bad, he's just.. normal.. and maybe a little meek.. Definitely nothing you'd imagine from someone in that position. ]

And everyone else was just.. okay with that?

[ She sounds a touch skeptical, but-- you know, he'd know better than her. She's not from his world, and she's only seen the yakuza world from the outside, rather than as part of it the way he seems to be when it comes to the mafia. ]

Well...no, not really. I mean, it was the Ninth's decision and people respect him. But it still meant I had to fight for the position a lot.

[But he can be stubborn when he's back's against the wall.]
