Hi everybody! Shinji already talked about Cooking Club a little the other day, and that gave me the idea that we should have a potluck so everybody can share what they've been making! Let's have it on June 12 -- that'll give everyone plenty of time to think about what you wanna make! I'll be in the club building every afternoon until then if you want help thinking of things or if you wanna practice. 🥰 Hope to see you then!

[Except, she left out one very important detail and now Scott is here to fix that little mistake. So, yeah, few hours after Kotone’s message, Scott will send a new one.]

Hey, you heard earlier about Kotone’s potluck? Wanting it on June 12th and stuff? She sort of forgot to mention that it’s her birthday that day. I know, dumb, right? So, when you come to the potluck, bring a present too. She’ll be happy with whatever you get her, she’s a sap like that.

[Just come and have a good time, really. Celebrate that she made it to another birthday and stuff. He knows that being with friends is the most important thing to her, but he’s not saying that mushy shit here.]

I’ll be at the club building early that day to decorate. So pop by if you wanna help with that. Let’s just keep this all quiet from her, got it? I’ll laser your ass if you don’t.

God, see. This is why it's so hard to be fond of Scott. Why does he keep making her feel this way for not wanting to go to parties!! Why must she be so weak to it in the first place! It's annoying. ]

Are you and Kurt that close already??

I mostly figured you were inviting him to live with us because of the whole mutant thing. Or did you already know him back home?

[ At least he's avoiding further roasting when it comes to his girlfriend - for now, anyway. Who knows how long it'll last. ]

yeah, we're pretty close.

i knew him back home, well, a version of him at least. we're from different universes and stuff, kind of like quentin and me. at least i actually knew him from home this time.

[Instead of just Quentin being completely foreign to him. Although, in a way, dealing with that is kind of easier.]

so, obviously, i have throw a party for him.

[ Ange quickly decides to never tell Scott when her birthday is, just in case he might to start getting any ideas about that. She'd rather die. ]

Is he very different here from the way you know him?

pretty different.

way more social and outgoing. the kurt i knew was very shy, had to convince him just to go to the mall with me and the others. if i asked this kurt, he'd jump on board right away.

[Although, there's that whole fear of hiding his true self from others. he... he's afraid of being out there if his image inducer isn't on. That's the biggest difference that really comes to Scott's mind, but he... that isn't his place to tell. He's sure Kurt will mention it to Ange when he's ready, if he hasn't already. They are roommates after all.

And Scott knows he can trust Ange to be cool with it either way. She's a good friend like that--]

[ Don't worry, Scott. Ange already knows about Kurt's secret and she wasn't bothered by it in the slightest. That's never the sort of judgement anyone has to worry about when it comes to Ange.

Do you think we may be able to convince the beings in charge here to exchange this Kurt for the one you're talking about? I think I like him more.

He invited me to watch a movie with him. And he was perfectly normal and gentlemanly about it the entire time, without turning it into some huge social event that also involves other people.
