It seems as if the changes in this world aren't just cosmetic. It's learned how to protect itself, thanks to those that believe in explosions to get their point across.

Did you see anything else when it happened? Such as the building material moving or did it just happen?

It just happened. There was no movement of the materials of the building itself.

And there wasn't even a mark.

Would you be able to disclose the nature of the explosive used?

I had used urea nitrate during the time when we were in that "other" Aldrip. I had figured it wasn't effective enough, but components were few and far in between at that time.

I found some ammonium nitrate and a little bit of fuel oil since then, and tried that. Both are a little rudimentary, but I don't have as much access to explosives as others do... or the skills to do it magically, as Ragna did.

Even if they were rudimentary, there would've been some sort of proof that it happened. But there wasn't. I'm not sure if a way more intense bomb like the one the Chosen "engineer" is talking to me about on this post would prove to be more effective, but it's possible that we're barking up the wrong tree anyway. Especially after my experiments, whoever is protecting City Hall will be even more vigilant.

I agree. From what I've gathered there is nothing within the city hall or there was not previously. It may have changed with the city.
But I believe anything of importance would be kept in a less obvious spot.

Exactly. I was considering seeing if I could find some group of people who wanted to assist in exploring this world we're in. It's highly possible any vulnerabilities have been moved either out of City Hall, or the city entirely.

I've been looking in my spare time. But it would be best to organize a group and properly canvas the area.
The problem with that, lies with reliability.

There will always be issues with reliability in people. You have to take that into account in any plan.

That's true. But with the amount of ground we have to cover and the potential need to be out in the wilderness. It'll be hard to find people who can search thoroughly.

And people sensible enough to not keep findings to themselves. Just in case they want to sabotage that sort of thing for their own reasons.

Every plan has risks, though. We won't be able to cover so much ground with just a couple of us.

You're correct.

Though given the behavior of some of the people I've seen here. Our captors would probably know if we found something straight away and move it.
Or they'd take the chance to leave everyone behind.

All things to be taken into consideration.

We'll have to weigh all these cons to the dangers of letting us stay stagnant and complacent in a place like this.

I think some may already been stagnating.
Like they've just accepted being held captive.

There are some who're dead at home. That leads to some of the stagnation.

People don't want to exactly embrace death again so quickly, after all.

Though I suppose it makes sense they wouldn't mention it in their first meeting.

This place may also be more pleasant that home for some as well.

I've heard of a few. It isn't something they would likely tell strangers, no.

That's also true. Even though Jerry and the Council are annoyances at best, they're not exactly tyrants.

Even for a place that uses rehabilitation and positive enforcement. It seems too lenient and hands-off.

Normally there would be things such as a curfew or regular check-in sessions.

[She wasn't complaining. Group therapy with the people here would be a nightmare.]

Though I'd imagine there would be more resistance if they were forceful.
