[Rolo has not been having a good time since everyone's memories came back. He's mostly dealt with this by staying home curled up in bed and ignoring the network completely, but after a few days he's finally desperate enough to pull the network device thing back out.]

Is there anything like a therapist in this city?

[He's not even thinking about shit like going anon right now. That would probably be a bad sign, if his standard preference for anonymity didn't necessarily preclude people knowing about said preference.]

...Yeah? I mean this place is pretty clearly not exactly real in the way any of us are used to. And I figure it's easier to make a copy and trick 'em i to thinking they exist and feel things than it is to bring someone back from the dead.

I mean either way we still breathe and live and experience things, so it's not that much different.

[This actually makes Rolo stop to think for a few minutes. It's an angle he hadn't considered before, and while it might not matter much to him as someone else who was brought back from the dead...

His response comes a little belatedly.]

It might be different enough. It'd mean there's no going back for the people who weren't already dead.

[Oddly, that's a hopeful thought for him.]

Well it'd be pretty screwed up if we could, right?

Like I know some people are pissed about their deaths, but end of the day it still happened. Can't go back and reverse that. I always figured that even if I got a chance to go back and decided I wanted it... Shinjiro'd still have died. I'd just be another one.

But there are people who haven't died. And they think they were just brought here and can somehow return home eventually.

yeah, probably cause it gives them hope.

And for all I know I'm wrong. But it makes the most sense for me, so it's kind of the assumption I've had for a few months.

Like... I'm not the first version of me that's been here. The other had whole different memories, and disappeared before I showed up. Then there's that weird re-write that just happened. I just can't make it make sense to think we're physically being picked up and pulled around from different universes or timelines or whatever.

Nah. Like I said, I could be wrong: but it's what makes the most sense to me, so I'm going with it for now. If you like it, than you like it. Nothing weird about that.
