[There's a very tall man that appears on the camera, and he looks rather shy. He's new at this, so he isn't sure how the charm is suppose to work, but none the less, those who can see his background will notice that he has. Quite a bit of flowers blooming in the back. It seems like they've been in bloom for a short while, but he isn't entirely sure what to do with these flowers, now that he has them all sent out to the people he. Cares?? about.]
Good afternoon, everyone. My name is Astralin Turnont and as you can see, I have quite a bit of flowers in bloom. If you are wanting a flower or two, or perhaps three, please send me your queries and I will delivery them personally.
You see, my wife is a florist by trade, and I wanted to, ah... Make her proud. I suppose you do not need to know that information, but I am unfamiliar with this.
Anyway, please do seek me out if you would like a bouquet. Thank you.
[Help him, he's dying of embarrassment over here.]

[Dohalim, too, is the sentimental sort, though he is not quite as direct about it.
As for the rest, he laughs softly, shaking his head.]
I have no doubt my astral artes can be employed to that effect, but I've never had the need to try before coming here. I did assist with sowing the fields for the Day of Devotion, some weeks past.

[Yeah. He's painfully sentimental alright.]
I do not see why you cannot test your 'artes' on my crop. However, I am rather curious as to how you fight... I am not one to spar, however. I had my fair share of assassins after me, so I have grown quite tired of fighting.

[He smiles warmly, his expression clearly one of approval. Astralin, he thinks, is quite lucky to have those he loves so dearly, to be able to dedicate himself to them.]
I would be happy to show you what I am able on the farm— I do not believe there would be any risk to your crops, which is the only thing that might give me pause. As for combat, I have no doubt we will have other opportunities. I have dealt with my own share of attempted assassinations, in fact— and in truth, I have no real love of battle. I can certainly respect your decision to abstain.

[It's... Endearing to hear these things, honestly. He's never hesitated to show his love for his spouses, and seeing Dohalim's reaction to it, well. Warms his heart to the core, really. Still, he can't help but smile a bit in turn.]
Ah, you too? Was it someone attempting to steal your powers as well? Or for another reason?
no subject
[That takes him by surprise, just a bit, and he shakes his head.]
No— not quite. I was in a position of leadership for quite some time. As is often the case, there were those who would rather I was not.
[They were right to oppose him, he now thinks, but he keeps that to himself.]
That is what happened to you, then? An attempt to steal your powers away?
no subject
[Maybe he's wrong about Dohalim, but he's just. Such a nice guy, and can't imagine why anyone would want to attack him. Oh well. It wasn't his business to pry. That, and Dohalim might have a different sort of opinion about it.]
Quite right. You see, there are those who see me as a prodigy due to my bloodline. There is a woman at the moment -- who started a conquest to kill off my species and steal our powers.
no subject
[He won't let himself use that as an excuse to become complacent, but it is something worth remembering should he choose to return to politics. He frowns deeply as he continues on, his brow furrowing.]
That someone would target you as a result of your bloodline, however... to hunt your species? There can be no good reason for that.

[He only knows bits and pieces of Dohalim's life, and. Well. He's not one to judge, to be honest. Dohalim might have made mistakes, but it's in the past now, and at least he was working on himself now. That in itself was commendable.]
I must admit, I do not understand how she knows about me. I am but a simple farmer that turned away from nobility, so I am rather off the radar. But ah, either way... I am here now, and I do not have to worry about that for now. ... Not that I am not worried about those back home, but they are more than capable of taking care of themselves.
[There isn't much he can do, you know.]
You have a few friends back home that are here, do you not?
no subject
I do— I am quite fortunate in that regard. They mean a great deal to me, and we are at our best when we are in a position to work together.
[Which is to say that despite being held in this strange brand of captivity, they are hardly allowing themselves to admit defeat.]
There is a part of me that quite grateful to have them, of course, though to be brought here against their will, as we all have been... many of them have had more than enough of that sort of thing in their lives already.
