You, the “Chosen.” I think I’ll give you something to think about. Actually it's a concept that I’ve agonized over for a while!

[ The figure front row and centre chirps from the close proximity to the screen. Strange backdrop for those who won't immediately connect the dots. The skeleton scene of An Attempt(TM) for a birthday just barely viewable over his shoulder. As he leans back from the camera again there's evidence that he's put it together mockingly, perhaps even a little contemptuously going by how many things are askew. It's a red herring, unless...?

At any rate there's no mention whatsoever who it's for—Gogol did say there was something more important on his mind. So he gets right to chattering. ]

Does a devastating control over our lives make a God? And well, I'll also share what I recently realized about that too. At a certain point it doesn’t matter what you call it— because the end result is the same.

Having my existence rewritten against my will makes me want to rebel as much as possible.

[ There's a loud cacophonous sound as he reaches over to grab a balloon and pop it with a needle. After that there hangs a heavy silence ]

[ Now it's always up to everyone else's discretion whether they think he's lying. The hint of mirth in his tone makes this instance easier to tell at least. ]

[ Whether or not it's the truth, he doesn't feel he has much choice but to respond to it at face value--at least not without probing a little more. ]

So you came to announce that you're going to "rebel," but you have no idea how to execute it. What is the point of that? Were you hoping to start a riot?

Pop quiz! Why did I post on the network? Well, here's a hint: was it because I wanted to host a discussion about the nature of our collective existence under reality changing circumstances?

Uh, oops, maybe that was the answer.

That is not much of a pop quiz, but... alright. [ His tone dips lower, less accusatory. ]

The truth is that we can discuss the matter to death, but we still lack any sense of control over the way this place is changing. Or even whether we remain the people that we are. So what is it you would hope to gain from this discussion?

Who knows? Maybe refusing to think about these things would make for a much happier existence.

[ It sounds like a rhetorical when he says it like that. Doesn't matter as much when he turns back to that whimsical tone shortly after. ]

In all honest~y I simply hoped to canvass the Chosen for their understanding of recent events! If I squint and cross my eyes the results can be considered 'interesting.'

[ Despite how he may have made it seem, it actually wouldn't make him happier to just accept things as they are. So, rocky start aside, he is becoming more open to this thought little by little. ]

I don't know if interesting is the word I would use, but my understanding is the same as yours. We were somehow forced to forget our real selves, assimilated into this world. It still doesn't feel right... Why would they even allow us to remember? Is it a threat of what might be to come? But that is what happened.

Hard to tell, isn't it? Not without projecting personal thoughts and philosophies! That's why—

I'd like to test exactly what their threshold is for remaining so impassive and removed.

[ As eccentrically as the original message had come across, he does also wish to hear what the other Chosen think of the situation... In other words, if there really was some kind of idea in mind, he'd be very curious to hear about it and not simply because he's trying to be accusatory. ]

How would you propose to do that? I cannot argue with the approach completely. If we ever expect to gain any significant ground, we are going to need to be willing to take risks. But if we don't make our moves wisely, then I fear things will continue as they have been. They will simply adapt and we won't learn anything from it.

[ After all, it's quite clear that they're able to alter their literal memories. ]
