006 ✤ video (during the AU event)

[ The video opens with Mitama, your local hard-working high school girl at the top of her class, currently taking a small break from her studies (if you squint hard enough, you might see some textbooks lying around on her desk) to address the network, waving her hand as a greeting. ]

I know there have been some weird happenings observed lately, but I would like to urge everyone to stay calm! This is Aldrip, after all; our lovely little town is as perfect a place to live as can be, so I'm sure whatever caused those will pass soon.

[ Obviously, she can't know that for certain, but it's hard not to assume that. After all, nothing bad ever happens here, so things will go back to how they usually are soon and they can all laugh about it later. ]

In the meantime, would anyone care for a little game to distract ourselves from all that and cheer ourselves up? I figured we could all use a bit of harmless fun, so I'd like to announce the first official round of Aldrip's very own Hot or Not!

[ The girl holds up a handmade sign to the camera with a bright smile. God only knows where she came up with this idea, but she's nothing if not resourceful, so you can probably expect this to become a big thing some time in the future...! ]

So! What are the rules, you ask? It's pretty simple! Just leave a comment here with your name and a picture or two, and other residents will rate your attractiveness! [You know that saying about a situation being like watching a car crash? Something horrifying and inevitable, and yet you can't look away? That is probably the best description of the experience Mitama has when she realizes her father can see this post.

It starts so innocently, too:]

Hey, c'mon, you can't leave yourself out of the fun! Here, I'll get us started!

[And then comes the flood. Baby pictures be upon ye, Aldrip. So many baby pictures. Pictures at every age, honestly, from the infant and toddler years in an adorable onesie with a smiling moon and shooting stars to her first day of school, her smiling into the camera with her first lost baby tooth, violin practice, at a softball game, at the science fair .........

There's a lot of pictures, basically. But the regrets have only just begun.]

My little girl is the cutest, right?? Two hundred out of ten.

[Fatherly duty completed, Kotetsu wanders away from the charm network content with what he has put out into the world here. He's gotta be out here cheering on his kids okay, they are rockstars and champions, alright, the light of his life, the apples of his eye.

Sure, maybe it's a little embarrassing, but that's just dad privileges. Is he just supposed to keep a lid on his feelings or something? No way no how. Still, he gets it into his head to go back to the post, and offer the other kids in town some encouragement as well, because they are pretty great, even if he thinks his own daughters are The Best Ever.

And that's around the time he rereads the post, looks at some of the comments, and realizes he's made a terrible, terrible mistake.]

[ See, that's the kind of thing Mitama absolutely adores about her dad; he's so pure, his intentions noble and heart in the right place... which only makes it easier to tease him when he slips up. For better or worse, she's perfectly capable of taking her father seeing this post in stride, especially if she gets to fan the flames a little. ]

Geez, Papa, you could have at least picked a picture where your daughter is a lovely young lady! Those are a little embarrassing~

I- I am very impressed at how many of these you have. Also I am very sure that you did not read this well. Because A. If memory serves me right, your daughter has a boyfriend, and B. Most of these are baby pictures, and this is a ‘hot or not’ event. As for deleting this, I do not think you will be able to. But just for this occasion I will say that the baby pictures are quite cute, just not perfectly related to this event.
