Hey, if you know anyone who doesn't have a charm - and, you know, can't hear this letter - the locals still have some for us. They're willing to give them out.

[Ok that was the most important part of the message!!! His tone sort of deflates a little bit.]

We should probably count on using them from now on, right? They're probably a little more...tamper-resistant anyway. So, let's try and distribute them to anyone who didn't get one when they first arrived. I think being able to keep in touch with each other is the best thing we can do right now. Whenever anything happens here, we end up having to work together...

[He trails off. Being without 'electricity' isn't too big a deal for him personally, but it was still frightening how fast it was taken from them. And, of course, he wants to help, because he's a Big Damn Hero. He hopes everyone is doing ok!!]

And...I'll reiterate my offer of bread, haha. And fire-making tools, if you need any. I can show you how to use them, even, if you need it.

They were old technology that a bitter little man managed to get working while the original casino was here. They have better modes than charms, but the locals are far more suspicious of that technology.

That's swell of you.
[Weird and gullible? Nothing was free unless one stole it where he was from.] Where can I pick up these items? And you're certain you don't want anything at all?

That will be an easy place to find even in the dark. I will pass the word along to customers and employees alike.

Yes. It was a common method for exploring when I was a boy. Have you encountered people who don't know?

[Because the mines were dark sometimes. Chem-tech lights occasionally went out, and they were still expected to make quota.]
