[Kotone is not a girl used to asking for help. If it's something she can't do on her own, she usually doesn't. But with recent events in town and outside of town, not to mention the passings of the one-year anniversaries of some difficult days from back home, it's been hard to muster her usual good cheer and can-do attitude.]

Hi, everyone! It's Kotone. You might know me from working at Lupin recently. :D

I know we're all really busy, but I wanted to ask if anybody had time to help me rebuild the club building. It's the one that looked like a flat-roofed warehouse on the edge of town? It got destroyed cause of the corruption.

Oh, I'm also still looking for people to help out on Astralin-san's farm, too! Especially with the crops and animals.

[A pause, and then she adds,]

I'd really like to start the cooking and sewing clubs again. :) And if other people had things they wanted to do like club activities, it would be good to have a space for it! I think it's really important to have some normal things to do with all the crazy stuff going on.

[There's not much she feels she can do with everything happening between Ketsora and Rumpitur, but she can try to do something to help the Chosen feel more closely tied together.]

Apparently he has trouble control his eye magic? Laser beams? Whatever it is, I'm working on something for him that might help. So he won't go randomly demolishing things.

[It takes her a few seconds to respond, because wow. Really? Not only can Dara help Shinji, but Scott, too? It's enough to make her start praying every day--]

He calls them optic blasts. He's been struggling with controlling them the whole time he's been here. That would be really, really incredible if you could help him with that. <3 I'd give you any offering you want in exchange!

Please never say that to any other god or spirit you meet. You could be giving away your firstborn son with that kind of open-ended statement.

Also there's no guarantee I can give him more than just temporary help.

Even something temporary would be really nice. I've never seen him without his glasses. I mean, not without him going pew pew pew, anyway.

[She's going to level up her prize...!] Fine. I want a yukata.

Although Scott is the one who should be making the offering.

[Hmm... that's actually pretty difficult, but she'll figure it out. Bebe made a whole kimono, and that's way harder!!]

Once I get Sewing Club set up again, I'll do my best! How long does a yukata for a snake god have to be, anyway...?

Anyway I want to give you something too, since anything you do for him is kind of for me, too. :D Especially something like that.

You're that set on seeing his eyes?

Do you like specific colors or patterns?

And yeah. :) It's kind of silly, but I really want to. It's not that I don't like how he looks with his glasses, but I don't even know what color his eyes are.

[Huh, that's actually a good question. She's not used to having a choice outside of taking whatever to given or accessible.]

I wouldn't want any bright colors unless it's red. I think subdued patterns are better for me.

Are you planning to paint a picture of him?

I can handle that! I'll look to see what my options are... it'll take me a while for something like that, but I promise I'll try my best.

Haha, no. Just getting to see him once like that is okay. His powers are important to him, so I'd never tell him what to do with them, but if it's not permanent, it's ok to be a little selfish, right?

That's fine. I'm not in a rush for it.

I guess it's okay to be selfish like that. I don't really get why it's important though.

Cause we've been together for a couple months now. :) And you have to be really careful getting close to somebody whose eyes can blow you into pieces if you nudge his glasses the wrong way!

[Not that she thinks Dara actually cares about her love life, and she also doesn't go around advertising it, but if Dara's going to do them this favor (because yes, it's a favor for them, not just Scott himself), maybe she should know!]

When's the wedding planned?

[What is the concept of dating? She's running on Edo standards because this is not the kind of information she would care to be knowledgeable about.]

By couple, did you mean you're already married?

No!! We're just like, going out! Dating!!

[cursegod]

I don't get it. Dating is like courting, right? Which leads to marriage.

[orphne]

[Whew that is a big sense of permanency that had made her reluctant to even date Scott in the first place. It takes her a few seconds to figure out how to reply.]

I mean, we're not gonna be here in Aldrip forever. We're not even from the same place, so...

[And once she goes home, that's it. There's nothing for her after.]

We're happy together the way we are. :)

So perpetual engagement until you're separated?

We're not engaged!!

Where we come from, people just kind of get into relationships for fun. They don't have to end in marriage or anything.

How is that fun?

I guess this shows my age. I'm assuming the concept of a relationship has changed since I was alive. I probably shouldn't be surprised.
