Hello, everyone.
I'm going to host a community class next week for first aid and 'CPR' (it stands for Cardio-Pulmonary Ressucitation. It's a method to help manually pump a person's heart if it's stopped). Anyone is welcome to come, whether you've been here for a week or for months. In fact, I think everyone should come! With how intense emergencies are here, there's no knowing when you'll be in a situation where someone is bleeding profusely, burned, or has a broken bone. If you have any questions or want to help, let me know.
Also, if you have an interest in joining the Arztenritter, my door is always open and I'm more than happy to teach anyone who doesn't have experience. If you're not fond of horses, we do have chocobos now, and they're much different riding animals. A few of our members have departed in the past couple of months, and right now there are only four of us.
With that said... I have a separate question. And if it's too personal or philosophical, feel free to ignore it. I know many of you view this place as a prison, and that is understandable. But what if you've arrived here after dying? You can think about it hypothetically if you want, however... it isn't hypothetical for me, and I don't think I'm the only one that applies to.
[ooc: W/r/t the Arztenritter, see here for information! Also, characters will see this recruiting poster around town... she hired a local who told her "graphic design is my passion.]

So, I'm sure your family's god must be watching as well. Otherwise he would take away what he gave you, wouldn't he?

That sounds... horrific. I'm glad that her goddess was able to intervene at last and grant her peace.
[She isn't sure about this as reassurance for her own gods, though. She thinks of Lombard and Reptor and Travant--all traitors to the ideals that their Crusader ancestors risked their lives for. If the gods saw such thing as betrayal, then shouldn't they take away their blessings and their Holy weapons?
But then she thinks of Lex and Tailtiu--how they fought for what they knew was right, even though it meant turning on their own fathers. It must have cost them their lives, but they had stayed true to their gods even though their families had not.]
Perhaps. I would like to think so... but they may be moving in their own time and their own way. I can think of a few people with blessed bloodlines that haven't been living up to their ancestors, at least in my view. But that hasn't stopped some of their kin from doing what's right.
sorry for the wait!
[ He looks pensive for a moment before he speaks again. ]
If it's not too presumptuous, I'd like to share what I've learnt from the teachers I've had in theological matters:
People like us, who are selected by the gods to carry a sliver of their power or their blessings, we exist to bear their will to the world. As such, we should always act in a manner which befits them. I don't know what your particular god or gods are like, but it is humans who assign morality to them. The gods themselves - at least in my world - are neither 'good' nor 'evil'. They exist in a constant state of flux and the absence of one causes imbalance in the world.
[ His voice grows gentle. What he has to say next isn't something people would particularly like to hear about their deities. ]
What I'm saying is that if your family have always acted in what they think is in your god's interest and the god themself hasn't intervened, it's possible that whatever happens is what the god wanted to have happen. Even if that something is war.
