[She isn't sure about this as reassurance for her own gods, though. She thinks of Lombard and Reptor and Travant--all traitors to the ideals that their Crusader ancestors risked their lives for. If the gods saw such thing as betrayal, then shouldn't they take away their blessings and their Holy weapons?
But then she thinks of Lex and Tailtiu--how they fought for what they knew was right, even though it meant turning on their own fathers. It must have cost them their lives, but they had stayed true to their gods even though their families had not.]
Perhaps. I would like to think so... but they may be moving in their own time and their own way. I can think of a few people with blessed bloodlines that haven't been living up to their ancestors, at least in my view. But that hasn't stopped some of their kin from doing what's right.
