(manjiro comes into the camera, wearing his gang uniform with the words 'president' stitched, loud and proud. he sighs a little, but there's a smile on his lips before he speaks.)

I ain't into being strangers. Let's talk about ourselves with a single word and go from there. I'll start.

[Wow, why are all his friends such sleepy bitches? He tilts his head a bit.]

Is it past your bedtime?

(sorry, yu, he gives very little shits, he'll push things around so he can use his forearms as pillows... and rest against it.)

Food makes me sleepy, sleep-- hungry.

[That...that makes sense, weirdly. He nudges Mikey a bit, pushing his chair out from the table.]

C'mon. Where are you staying? It's probably more comfortable than the table.

[He passed out, right there on the table...

Yu...still doesn't know where he lives...

He goes to the counter, pays for a coffee and the cookie Mikey requested before (... with extra tip, for taking up the table this long), and picks out a book from the communal shelf near the register. It's not like he's just going to leave him there alone.]

(it takes a good half an hour for him to wake up - a half of hour of very petty arguments that he sleeptalks ('kenchin, why did you-- wake me up so early--', 'we should run before they realize you burned down their car, baji...', 'emma.... sunny side up....'), along with little snores. when he does wake, the first thing he sees is cookie... he's so happy that he doesn't even say anything else, he just bites it, eating hands free, just his teeth like a hamster.

finally, words come between his teeth...)

... ZZZz.z... Hey.

[izanagis]

[Aha, movement.]

Hey. Nice nap?

[A little smile. He points at the people at the counter, one of whom keeps throwing annoyed glances at them.]

I think they're gonna throw us out if we take the table much longer. We should go.

I'd like to see them try, but-- fine. I should get going, too.

(check to see if takemichi hasn't made a pandemonium of their room. that boy is not tidy. the lazy movement as he leaves is followed by a stretch, he's still super drowsy, but he'll live. the cookie is nice, though.)

[izanagis]

Right. You're a force of nature.

[But the fact remains that they both have stuff to do, of course -- Yu has a lot to think about, too. He follows Mikey out, offering a small wave to the workers as they go.]

alas. the inn at least isn't so far, but it will take a while to reach because mikey is walking as if sleep was moving his legs. at least halfway, he is much more awake, but they're pretty much there already. once they are, he gives himself a little hop as if he was ready to say their goodbyes.

but i'm sorry, yu. mikey's extremely bendy, so the back of his ankle hits yu's shoulder with the strength of a gazillion spartans and the full force of the sun, so he comes down to level with mikey's height. he'll keep his ankle there, for pressure, unwilling to give permission for the other to move-- and he presses a peck to yu's lips, as a means to say 'thank you'.)

[Yu doesn't really mind the walk -- it gives him some time to think about everything they talked about. The sentencing, Adachi, the very nature of this place... It's a lot. So he's about to say goodbye to Mikey at the inn when--

urk! For a second he deadass thinks the guy is about to attack, and he's mentally trying to figure out which Persona to call on first, and then--

(yu's shoulder is going to be a liiiiiiitle busted, but he's still at eye level with mikey, his leg hasn't moved, he doesn't even feel uncomfortable or even slightly unstable -- which is bad, because mikey's going to laugh at his face. literally.)

Hah! You're bad at this!!! Is that really all you got to say?

(SAYS THE GUY WHO LITERALLY IS DOING A SPLIT PRETTY MUCH)

Am I? Must be an off-balance day.

[Literally. With Mikey holding his shoulder down, he's tilted at a weird angle, like he's doing some bizarre sentai pose.]

[He chuckles, rolling his shoulder with a muted wince. He...is going to have to deal with that. Ouch.]
