[It's that fellow with the glowing red eyes again. And this time, he looks... tentatively happy? Quite the reverse of some of the general sentiments being posted in the most recent of days.]

Greetings. Pray forgive my neglect of checking these devices as of late. I ought to have checked more frequently... but, I confess, I became so absorbed in assisting with the matter of housing that I did little else this past moon.

On that subject, I am pleased to say that a number of small houses have been completed. Those we brought back from the desert worked hard on them, so I am sure they shall be pleased to see them put to use.

Ah... on another subject, I have yet to check over much of what I have missed, but did anyone else have an unrelated transmission involving mysteriously-appearing tattoos come up when they activated their charm?

No but let's just say that I've explored a few places that require a couple of those things.

It was successfully dealt with, and encased in ice. But they are nevertheless a potential danger to travelers. If one exists here, others may also be present. And they are... aggressive, to put it mildly.

And you're certain that they won't come back anytime soon? Because that makes me a little worried...

The one in question is no more, but I cannot say there will not be others. There have been no thorough surveys of the region, to my knowledge.

Most favor verdant areas near a stable supply of tranquil water. Ponds and swamps.

[Pausing, Erichthonios lifts a hand to his chin.]

...However, I recall there being a trial of a violet-colored concept in a more arid environs in Elpis. I believe it was a variation of the marquis morbol...

Would you be so kind to tell me a little bit more? I'm afraid I'm trying to understand this bit by bit.

A morbol is part of the class of creations known as ambulatory flora. While it is a plant that is capable of photosynthesis, it does not affix itself to the earth with roots, nor does it permanently attach itself to any organism or structure.

'Tis a carnivorous specimen capable of digesting meat, and thus its original concept and like iterations were first tailored to habituate the environment that other carnivorous plants inhabit... that is, bogs and swamps.

It possesses tendrils that are quite strong, and uses these to strike out, and to grab its prey to bring to it's 'mouth', the inner rim of which is lined with thorns bearing resemblance to teeth. These hold the prey in place as it digests them.

The foul breath it exudes is in fact a poison meant to debilitate its prey to make it easier to grab. It causes temporary blindness, slows reaction times and makes limbs difficult to move, and even spontaneous bouts of outright paralysis... in other words, 'tis a neurological toxin. Fortunately, it metabolizes quickly enough that it is not in itself immediately fatal if one can manage to escape tendril and mouth. Unless one were foolish enough to endure continuous exposure without seeking treatment.

Then that's good to hear. Although, I would still make sure that you are okay as I don't really know what might happen.

...The foundations of society are built upon care and concern for one another, so mayhap you are not wrong.

Still, you should take care not to over-extend yourself. You are yet young, and you need not bear the weight of so many upon your shoulders.

Yeah, there's a few. I know that my leader is here so I know I can rely on her.
