[ It's not often that Ragna feels the need to address a wider audience, and he's certainly not happy to do so right now, but there have been some recent... developments that are forcing his hand here, because he feels like going any longer without answers to his questions might drive him crazy. No need for introductions or context, he just gets straight to the point. ]

[ Well, Ragna is still human, huh.. Or at least not totally invulnerable. That part of it all isn't really a surprise to Ange.

After all, she knows what immortal beings act like. Nearly invulnerable beings. They have a certain air to them that Ragna doesn't have whatsoever - he seems more like he's on her level, despite being way tougher than her. ]

[ Some might argue that Ragna is about as invincible as a person could hope to be, but he knows better than to think so himself; there are tons of things that can harm him, as has been painfully proven to him in the past. ]

[ Why do people always insist on putting words in his mouth like that? Yes, he may be purposely keeping people at an arm's length, but there's a world of difference between that and wishing for their demise! ]

[ Now that he thinks about it, between her attitude, abilities, and the willingness to randomly boss him around, the resemblance between her and Rachel is almost uncanny. ]

[ She's definitely proving his point here. Even though if she had that kind of power, she at least wouldn't be using it on Ragna - but actually saying that sort of thing is going to make her look way too nice and sappy, so of course she's not going to do it. ]

Unfortunately my magic isn't that strong.

And it's not like there's any way to learn new magic here.

[ ... Yeah, that's about what he expected. Ragna isn't terribly surprised by the idea of her learning it, though ─ they used to have a whole damn school for that kind of shit back in a day in his world, so it doesn't sound too outlandish to him. ]

You think there's someone here who can do that?

I think we would've seen a whole lot more lightning being flung around back in the desert if that were the case. I only saw a guy who was using magical chains to bind those things we were fighting. I don't think I saw any magic other than that. [ Sure, there were Ragna's own abilities, which sure aren't normal human things either.. But that seemed much more like a part of him, so it feels different than necessarily regular magic casting. ]

[ Granted, his experience with magic comes mostly from dealing with Nine, who was one of the most powerful mages in history... so maybe it's a little unfair of him to have such expectations of this girl, but again, he has no clue how any magic system actually works, let alone one from a different world. ]

[ Look, Ange isn't afraid to admit it. She saw Ragna fighting back there, and she can definitely acknowledge when someone is stronger than her, even just abilities-wise.

Especially when most people are stronger than she is. ]

I'm really weak. It's kind of pathetic, really. But that's why it'd be nice to find some way to get more powerful here. I don't just want to be a punching bag for whatever threat appears next.
