[ It's a simple statement, and for a moment it does sound like the message might just cut off there. Just that one flat statement, seemingly devoid of any emotion aside from a vague hint of annoyance.

But then there's a sound that's faintly like a step, then a grumble, and then the message continues anyway. Still mostly deadpan, but a little more annoyed this time. ]

Sure, I get it. The whole crime and punishment theming? Very cute. Maybe start using that talent to build an amusement park or something more productive next time, if this sort of thing is your hobby. Either way, it's really not done to let yourself be heard on the way in, and then just act like you're not there.

[ A slight pause-- and then a sigh. ]

Just tell me someone can point me to the witch. I really don't have time to be beating around the bush.

Well, if you were dragged in here right alongside the rest of us, then it's at least got to mean that the beings in charge of us here have to be even stronger.

[ Which isn't a great thought, but-- on the other hand, it's exactly what Ange had been assuming so far, so it's not really blowing up any hopes here. Hard to do so when she never really had hope in the first place. ]

Unless you came here voluntarily, but I don't imagine any of us did.

[ She's been nabbed by those people might consider stronger than her and yet they fell in the end. Granted, she often had help in felling them. ]

I certainly didn't. I would be surprised by anyone who did.

[ Sure, it's a new adventure, but she was kind of busy with some stuff back home so the timing wasn't ideal. ]

[ There's a faint hum of agreement on Ange's part. Sure, she imagined there might be some idiots who consider themselves wild adventurers who might agree to such a crappy deal, but clearly no one with even just a few braincells would, right..?

She lingers on the hum for a moment, but then speaks up again, moving back to the point she mostly cared about. ]

So that means you must want to go home too, right?

[ One would think, but if things weren't as they were back home, Yuja might have agreed to come to some far-flung world just for the adventure of it. ]

There are important matters that need doing, so yes, I would like to return home.

Hm. [ It's an affirmative hum. ] I feel the same way.

[ It'd be one thing if she didn't have anything to do back home.. though, honestly, Ange doesn't really feel like getting involved in - what she perceives to be - yet another witch's game. ]

So I'd prefer to find a way out of here as soon as possible. But if there are people here who have been stuck in this place for a longer time already, then I guess that's not going to be so easy.

Mayhap those that have been here longer have information that may be useful. Though, yes, I agree it won't be so easy to just return home. It usually isn't in these kinds of situations.

[ Not that she has any experience with this particular situation, but everything has a solution, right? ]

.. have you spoken to a lot of people who have been here for a while already?

[ She's mostly asking because Ange hasn't. Only just enough to know there's people who have been here longer, but most people she's been in touch with seem to be about as new as she is..

It would sure explain why the inn is way too full, too. Too many newbies at once. ]

And did they tell you anything useful?

Only a handful, 'tis something I'm working at. Nothing helpful I'm afraid, everyone seems right busy cleaning up.

[ That is to say, her only information has been a little about the recent fight. ]

[ She releases a faint sigh at the answer. Perhaps faintly disappointed, but not like she's blaming the other. Ange herself hasn't gotten to speak to many people who have been here for very long yet either.. ]

Guess we might have to wait a little bit then.

[ For the dust of all these new arrivals to settle, for one. ]

I guess I can let you know if I eventually end up hearing something useful. If you're serious about trying to find out more about this place and ways to get out of here, that is.

[ There's a short pause before she realizes it might make things a little easier if they give their name. ]

[ She isn't too sure whether the other is only going for first names, or just lacks a last name altogether. The latter wouldn't really surprise her, given the sorts of beings she has met recently back home, or the strange places some people here seem to come from.. ]

Thanks for agreeing to cooperate on this, I guess. I'm not exactly here to make friends, but trying to find out everything about this place by yourself would be a pain.
