[ What better time for a not-at-all-suspicious post from nobody in particular than 3am? It's the typical time for awful decisions, after all. ]
If, hypothetically speaking, someone wanted to remove information from their scroll.
What would be the best way to do so?
I've tried simply scratching it out, as well as gluing something over it, and fire. Nothing sticks.

Hypothetically speaking, I would ask someone with knowledge of this sort of magic to take a look at it and see if they can dispell it somehow. But I'm not sure that would end well for you.

I was beginning to wonder if it was a trick played on mine in particular.
Define "end well", because that makes it sound like the scroll might react poorly to being modified in some way.
Which is... honestly consistent with what I know of magic.
...Hypothetically speaking, of course.

But I'm not really into magic, myself. Never got the hang of it.
The other possibility is that that whoever's in charge here won't take kindly to it if they figure out you've done something either.

It's not something I'm comfortable having listed on a slip of paper that anyone could read.
And hiding the scroll feels like a temporary solution at best, hence the entirely hypothetical question.

There's a shoreline nearby--perhaps a rock and some string is your solution. Although personally, I don't put all that much stock into it. Our accusers might seem like they know a lot about us, but they're quite capable of getting it wrong.

I don't doubt that others feel the same about their scrolls, as I can't imagine anyone would like to have all this information on display.
But it's something I wish to fix all the same.
That's better then hiding or running from it, isn't it?

That someone is willing to theoretically put a price on such changes means that it is at least somewhat possible, so thank you for that indirect confirmation.
But to answer your question - hypothetically speaking, it would depend on how that process works, wouldn't it?
