Hi everyone. With everything that happened last month, I think it might be a good idea to start a training group for people who'd like to learn to fight, or defend themselves. As much as I'd like to hope something like that won't happen again, it's better to be prepared, right?

[A quick shrug. He's trying to keep it light, but he does have a feeling it won't be the last time something like that happens.]

Anyway, if there's enough interest, I can find a place to set something up. A weekly meet-up, maybe. And don't think this'll be only for beginners -- anyone who wants to improve their skills will be welcome.

Ten's a better collection than nothing. It's at least enough to draw up some strategies for next time, where everyone can play to their strengths. We should be matching up the close-combat heavy-hitters with range attackers, at the very least.

Though, hey... if you're not in the army anymore, what were you doing before you came here? Mercenary work?

As a close-combat fighter who swears by my ranged companions, I couldn't agree more. Hopefully once we see what everyone is capable of, it'll start becoming much more clear who should be teaming up.

And...not exactly. I guess you could say I got roped into freedom-fighting.

Then maybe next time, the two of us will team up. Don't get me wrong, I'm not bad at close combat, but it's hard juggling a bow and arrow and a sword simultaneously. And I'd way rather just hang back where I can get a decent shot on -- whatever it is I'm fighting. Not that a few piddly arrows did a whole lot against that behemoth.

Freedom fighting, huh? Last I heard, that's not something that you just fall into easily. Started hanging out with that crowd and wound up going along with them, something like that?
