[ There's only a voice feed without video to go along with it - but even without her face being visible, the edge of fatigue to Ange's voice is pretty obvious. Aside from that, her voice is pretty much the usual same monotone-- just with that little extra to it. ]

In case anyone came to the apothecary often-- Claude obviously isn't here anymore to run it. I have all of his notes, so I figure I might as well run it. I mean, at this point I'm apparently here until the heat death of the universe while I have to watch everyone I care about disappear, so might as well, right.

[ Sorry, the apothecary now apparently comes with a Hot Topic attitude. At least it explains where the fatigue in the girl's voice might be coming from. ]

So stop by while I undergo my own special kind of torture in this place, I guess. There's a lot to go through and figure out, so if you had some sort of special deal with Claude, make sure to let me know. Or I might find it somewhere in his notes in three months or so, so letting me know is likely faster.

[ It sounds like she might be looking at all of it right now, in fact. There's the sound of slight paper rustling in the background. ]

Or let me know if you can help with this. I haven't exactly done any of this apothecary business stuff before. I mean, Claude clearly didn't even consider the optics of leaving a place like this to a witch. That's just stereotyping, you know? So rude.

[Caitlyn thinks she hears the hint of fatigue, but sometimes it's hard to be sure with Ange. She completely understands, though. The last few months have been met with lots of disappearances, meaning Ange had likely lost just as many friends as she had. Claude being one of them.]

Claude was a friend. If I can help in any way, please let me know. Vi and I run Lupin, so we're both well acquainted with running a business around here. I'd hate to see all his hard work go to waste, let alone see Aldrip lose such a valuable resource.

[Whether that means simply helping her get it organized for her own self, or helping with any of the day to day operations, Caitlyn doesn't mind. Whatever Ange needs right now. But she means what she says. She would have been dead or in bad shape if Claude hadn't helped, his balms helped her continue her recovery from losing her eye, not to mention how much she loved the tea blends he sold.]

[His own voice is somber, not tired as her's is, but heavy with the loss of everyone recently.]

I'm afraid staff has become quite limited recently, as well. I may be the only one left with with any real prior experience, but I am available to help with anything that you might need.

[The fact that those with medical expertise have so suddenly disappeared isn't exactly the best omen...]

I'd be glad to help with organizing your notes or hiring any locals to assist. [Ange is very bright, but a people person...... maybe not.] A few of my employees are familiar with that sort of testing and formulation.

Me and Claude were friends. He helped me a lot. So... I'd definitely be okay with helping you with the business. I see Caitlyn already got to you, but I wanted to back her up on it.

[There's a pause like he wants to say more, but decides against it.]

An apothecary, huh. You gonna start selling potions and shit?

[ That's one way to announce that he's back to life. Hopefully Ange has had enough time to process the bullcrap information Ragna left her with... ]

Do his notes include the location of his stashes of supplies? With the current lack of resources, it would be prudent to account for what he managed to squirrel away. I do have a warehouse should it be necessary. Otherwise, if you need assistance with the books, I have vast experience.

I don't know, sounds to me like he found just the right person for the job.

[ Witch or no, she really seems like she makes a good fit. ]

I wouldn't be much help on the cultivation side... but if you need any help with physical work, I'd be happy to volunteer. After all, I sort of owe him one when it comes to that building.

[But Ange inherited the apothecary from Claude... nice. It is kind of strangely fitting, although there's a touch of genuine concern from Scott because she does sound kind of tired. Probably a lot to run a business.]

I'll help out, at least until you start getting settled in. I haven't really been to the apothecary often, but if Claude left a bunch of notes, I can probably figure it out. [...Or more like they'll figure it out together.]

[ Honestly, Caitlyn is hitting on the exact right point here. Even if Ange won't mention it - refuses to mention it, considering how much she hates publicly admitting to an Emotion or a Fondness - the fact she doesn't want Claude's hard work to go to waste is exactly why she's doing any of this in the first place.

Well, I could use some people to talk to the customers. [ She slowly admits. ] I really don't like talking to most of the locals here. Or even to some of our fellow Chosen.

[ Not that she's too surprised by what he's telling her here. With how many people have disappeared lately.. of course it would make staff difficult to come by as well. ]

Did you help him make the stuff he was selling? Or were you just helping with the selling part?

It takes her a moment to place the voice, but then she slowly gets it.. The guy who was real weird about love and kings, huh. Maybe she shouldn't be surprised, and yet.. ]

So what do you think would be the benefit of that, exactly?

That might be handy in the long run. Claude's a smart guy, but I'm sure even he can't have found every single possible cure in this place.

[ Though he does have a lot of notes. It almost makes her want to curse him for being so smart and leaving her with this much, especially all at once.. ]

Though I first want to focus on getting everything he was already making before right before I start experimenting. He's giving me a lot to catch up to here, you know?

[ It's not really a surprise to see these two coming as a set, but.. it's not really a bad thing either in this case. Ange may not know either of them intensely, but Caitlyn helped her before, and Vi seems alright enough. Especially compared to some other people she's known here. ]

Are you any good with doing the whole social aspect of it? If Claude is making me talk to people after disappearing, I might have to go to wherever he ended up so I can kick him.

[ Ange's tone is still sounding a little tired and flat, but.. hey, at least that also makes it sound like she's not necessarily annoyed by the fact.

But at least it makes a little bit more sense to her now, after that dream from a few months ago. ]

Look, is Ange happy that Ragna is still among them? Yes. For sure. In the wake of these disappearances-- more than ever, maybe.

Actually, I think I'm going to start with the recipes for poison he left me. And I already have a testing volunteer lined up. So kind of you to want to help, Ragna.

[ Sorry, Richard. She has to make a double take for a second here, because it's so rare for her to see anyone call Claude by his last name-- She has to take a moment to remember it even is his last name!

Eventually. I have all of his notes, and I've successfully made something before following those, back when he was still here. It will just take me some time to get experience with all of these.

Are you looking for anything in particular?

Customer service is not exactly my specialty. I am experienced in potions and tinctures, but my primary skill has been my ability to grow plants for the greenhouse. Although lately, the majority of my focus has been at the farm, the apothecary is small enough for me to prioritize as needed.
