I don't like the idea of a piece of me being at someone else's disposal, if that makes sense.
If it's eaten, fine. If it's sat somewhere to rot I would rather see my chances at what technology or a good demon world salve can do.
If all else fails I am sure I know someone who could make me something useful instead.
