I'll take the compliment, thanks. Mages in my world are often subject to demons trying to usurp them, mostly in dreams. Illusions like that eventually break down and you start to realize everything and everyone in them is just a reflection of the entity attacking you.
I don't know much about simulations or technology in the sense of this place, but if it operates like an illusion or dreaming, I'm not as in the dark as I feel.
