[Look, a worried boyfriend is a worried boyfriend and after Kotone doesn't respond to his text or call, his worry has only increased. Not to mention, Akira hasn't responded to his message either, so clearly, the next thing to do is ask everyone here if they have seen Kotone. With everything happening around them with the missing people, it's not bad being just a little cautious, right?]

Hey, has anyone seen Kotone around?

[Scott's definitely panicking because Kotone is definitely one of the people that have been taken, but not only that, there may be even more of his friends that are missing and he doesn't know who's gone and fuck. A part of him wants to yell or beat up the locals, but somehow, he pushes down all that anxiety and panic to focus on what's important, getting information and rescuing the kidnapped. It's like turning a dumb switch in his head or something.

So, he sends another text out to everyone, this time in the early afternoon.]

I can confirm that Kotone is one of the kidnapped people, taken by boat along with others. Does anyone else have any information or know who else is missing? It's best if we get a working list on that end.

I can't say who else was kidnapped for sure, but they tried to get me. I woke up at the docks and was able to get away. It's good to get a rough idea of how many were taken, but we need to figure a way to get them back to the mainland safely.

[She'd be out there, working on figuring that out herself if Vi hadn't been adamant that she take a moment to rest. She did get attacked and knocked out, after all.]

[Shit, Shinji as well...? He remembers the last time he disappeared, he was truly gone from this world, but it's best to assume that he's with Kotone and the others. Hopefully.]

And yeah, of course. Did you get information about where they were taken to? I know we'll have to use boats to get there and we'll have to plan about having enough supplies during that trip if it's long.

[Caitlyn almost got nabbed...? He's glad she managed to break free and a small relief builds in his chest, even though that anxiety is still pressing down on him.]

The docks, okay, so they're for sure taking people by boat. And it's the locals that are responsible, right?

There's leftover boats that we can use, right? We'll take those, once we get enough people to go. I know that others are probably already scrambling around to leave right now, it's what I wanted to do.

[He's not been able to sleep at all since sending that message, just staying up in hopes that any of his friends have seen her. Seeing Yu respond actually gives him hope, at least for a few seconds, before it comes crashing down as he actually reads his message.]

Fuck, Yosuke's gone too??

She messaged me in the afternoon that she was going to hang out with Akira, but that she'll be back later tonight. I tried messaging Akira too, but got no response from him.

[scott doesn't really think to bring anyone else right now, just in a rush to find akira-- not to mention his heart thudding painfully that kotone is missing. can he still rescue her if he runs right now?? even though in the back of his mind he already knows it's too late-- he can't acknowledge it either.]

It's easier to keep his feelings out of his voice via text. But it means his tone comes out sort of terse, as well.]

[geez, akira really got roughed up, huh? which, duh, but it's scary that he couldn't even get a glimpse of his kidnappers.

he feels that panic rising, but scott tries to push it down. somehow, he finds himself partially successful, as long as he focuses on what he can do and not think the worst.]

[He doesn't directly answer about being okay. Kotone was pretty strict with him about not claiming he was when he wasn't.]

[He's not panicking what are you talking about-- okay, he is. Scott does take Yu's advice and draws in a slow breath, which helps a little, but that anxiety doesn't leave him.]

So, should we check quietly? I definitely can't sit still right now. I'd check where Kotone normally stays, but I already got that covered.
