Yes, I do. The chocobo is a new species I have never seen before. The frozen... I think Morbol it is called? Appeared on my farm so I had to rid of it as quickly as possible. ... Although I do not know how that picture got in there.

Chocobos and morbols are new fauna that recently began to appear around Aldrip. As far as I know, they are not native to this world... It is quite strange. There seems to be several fauna appearing in Aldrip, in fact.

Ah, no problem. My farm is in the meadowlands... There are plenty of other beautiful farms along the way, though. Mine is just a sanctuary farm, so none of the animals are killed.

And I ah. Also have a barrier of magic protecting the farm, to ensure their safety. I do not know what lingers in the wilderness, so I cannot be too safe.

A sanctuary for the animals? That's very thoughtful of you! [And from the sound of it, he likely won't be able to sneak a quick snack from his farm. Darn]

You can do magic too? What else can you do besides create a barrier?

I suppose so... I have never put much thought into it.

I... Have a wide variety of abilities. Some of my abilities are at their full extent, while others... Not so much. My main element is ice, though.

Some work, some don't? Did this place do something to your magic?

I am not entirely sure what is going on. I am unable to use my non elemental magic, and my curing magic has been muted so to speak. I am usually able to heal those from the brink of death, but now I can only transfer some of my energy to heal those in need. And... Perhaps heal a broken bone or two. Simple cuts are also not a problem.

Ah well. Do you have powers of you own?

I just know a little bit of alchemy, and I get good grades at school! [Is that even a power?] It's not as cool as your powers...

What is the worst you can do? Blow something up? I think the people of Aldrip can spare the building if you need to practice. You need only but ask them, and they are... Oddly kind. They do expect something in return, but they will provide you materials, should you need any.

I rather not have something blow up on me! But...that's good to know the people here are nice. Wanting something in return sounds like an equivalent exchange in alchemy. Are there actually other alchemist here?

Are those the rules of alchemy in your world? What exactly are you doing that requires something as such? If you do not mind this old man asking, of course.

I have yet to meet an actual alchemist; you are the first. Perhaps you could be the first to set up shop here as a practicing alchemist.

Yea! You can't create without giving something of equal value in return. I guess it's sort of like cooking. You can't make a cake without giving up the right ingredients. The energy to create is through drawing a circle to channel the power that exists in the world. And that's all I know right now. [More like he's omiting details.]

Me? Having an alchemy shop? [...That actually gives pause to Pride. Something that makes him interested besides Father's plan? The reality of the matter though is that he can't actually use alchemy without utilizing the philospher stone within him, and that isn't something he can just use so lightly. But the thought of just freely using alchemy like the others could...what a captivating thought.]

I see. Alchemy is different in my world, but it must be much more complex in yours.

There must be an alchemist in Expiation somewhere. Perhaps you could seek one out and 'work' there to gain more experience. If you can find one, of course. I will keep in mind that you are an alchemist and seek out your services, should I need them at any point. if you do not mind.

What's alchemy like in your world?

Is that so? Well, perhaps you can find someone to cultivate your skills, whenever you find that alchemist.

As for alchemy in my world, it is mainly for research, for potions, and crafting weaponry. You can make a variety of things, as potion making and material manipulation is boundless. It is quite simple, but affective when executed.

For example, I had an alchemist craft a gem for me that makes my scythe weightless.

Wow, that's different from what I know! It sounds like you're putting magic into an object to make it do what you want. But you still can't just create something out of thing air, right?

Correct. You need a medium at your disposal in order to make something with alchemy. But, there is no exchange or anything like that. One is just simply able to do it.

Oh, but if you don't know much else, that's ok. I think I've decided I want to learn about all the different kinds of alchemy out there while I'm here! [Big dream for small kid.]

My daughter in law is the alchemist in our family. Sadly, I am not as well versed in alchemy as her, but I have created a potion or two using just water. ... Not as impressive as what my daughter can do, but it is something. I am sorry that I cannot tell you much else.
